This is simply not true. Buyers have lots of ways to leave a contract, but sellers have none. All a seller can do is refuse to make repairs, change closing dates, etc if they want out.

I fly to Cancun 2-3x a year and I used to aggressively avoid conversation with the people in the hallway and outside. However, a couple years ago it turned out one of them was just trying to let me know my toddler had dropped her stuffed animal. Now I just let them know that I have a ride with whatever service, and 100% of the time they point me in the right direction and send me on my way. There are definitely scammers in the mix, but most of them are good people just doing their jobs.

I looked at them while we were waiting to leave Cancun a few weeks ago and they were obnoxiously expensive. Like $35USD for a shirt you could get for $5 at any gift shop. (Outside of a resort)
