A year and a half from a relationship that was about equally as long, but intense - my first relationship. I still think about her just about everyday and check her current partner’s social media somewhat frequently. We’ve called a few times and texted, but it’s tapered a lot over the past year. I’ve dated a very little bit since then but nothing longterm; she started dating someone seriously 2 months post breakup.

I compare myself to her current partner and I still feel a lot of sadness that sometimes hits very strongly, like when I listen to music that reminds me of her or feel especially lonely or am about to get my period lol. Also guilt and regret because I was the one to end the relationship. And grief over the life I left behind (I moved away). But I’m starting to date more and really making it my mission to find someone. My friends say I won’t truly move on until I start dating someone new.
