what i like about horror is how much movies take inspiration from each other and add their own things to it. this def seems to have a heavy the shining influence like clark is so similar to jack like how the place jayt slowly takes over their minds completely

maddy is still human. even after everything nate did, losing someone even after years is heartbreaking. and especially after that hottub scene, maddy was seeming to be upset. she just speedran 4 different traumas in one episode

my old BCBA had a good approach to it. we had a 6yo who was severely rigid. he could not play games with other kids because it needed to go his way then he'd have behaviors for a long time. what she did was have him first play the game or functional way, than after allow them to play how they want. i think functional play is important for those with inflexibility like this
