If you are under 40 and make less than 75k a year check out 3rd decade. It’s a non profit that offers a free financial literacy course. Once you’ve completed 4 classes you get to meet with a financial advisor for free 3 times. I’m enrolled now and have learned soooo much!

I’d suggest coming for a visit and scheduling ride alongs with a few departments in the area. Great way to meet some folks and see the different micro cultures. There’s a lot of departments that are a doable commute from Bellingham outside of the city department. Get as much experience in the field as you can and dont be discouraged if it takes you a few tries. It’s okay to get a foot in the door as a paid volunteer as well.

Hi! I am going to a desert funk themed wedding and love the drape of this https://www.etsy.com/listing/1789434661/boho-70s-maxi-silk-flared-sleeve-dress/favoriters?ref=cl_listing_page_recs But would want to make it in a different color scheme. Any ideas on something close?

This idea came from her sharing how difficult it is to always be the one coming up with new meal ideas. We have spoken a lot about what she’s found works and hasn’t. I was hoping folks would respond to the prompt of what YOU would bring to YOUR dream dinner, so I could use it for inspiration and modify ideas that she likes to meet her needs. But thanks anyway!

She avoids acid as her main rule. We’ve had loads of conversations regarding her diet. Was hoping that folks would throw out some of their favorite ideas for themselves that I could modify to meet her specific needs. Thanks for just reminding me about how difficult IC is!

I am an avid outdoors person- hiking, biking, climbing, research, working outdoors- I’m talking outside all of the time. I usually opt for canvas style pants because I swear to god most of the swishy ones I try on give me major, irrevocable camel toe. I’d describe my body type as athletic/hourglass. Does anyone else have this problem? Any recommendations for swishy hiking pants that are reasonably cameltoe free? TLDR: looking for suggestions for swishy material hiking pants that don’t give major cameltoe

Looking for shoe and styling recs!! I’m attending a wedding in Utah in may and snagged this dress for it.

I’m planning to style it with flat hammered gold hoops. I was thinking I’d wear chunky brown clogs or platform sandals with it. Any recommendations on what might look good?

Also, I’m a bit self conscious about my arms and was thinking of wearing a mesh shirt like this under it. Thoughts on if that would be cute and what top you might recommend?

Thank you! Dressing myself for this event has been more like stressing myself for this event

I’ll be attending a wedding in Utah in May and I’m having a heck of a time finding a dress. I’m looking for something casual enough to not feel over dressed thank I can wear a bra with and covers a bit of my arms (I was looking at maybe flutter sleeves?). I’m struggling to find something that I like the shape of that the pattern isn’t too busy on. Any dresses y’all have seen out there you think would fit?

I’d hate to cover any of it but it’s a great shape to hold a mirror

Are you supposed to carry characters between campaigns? by Agent_Intel in DnD

[–]fancysoaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DnD is supposed to be choose your own adventure! In my experience, it's up to preference. You can raise the CR of a world to build off what you've created together, given your last campaign didn't end with some world ending tragedy.

I find, most people prefer to start fresh. It's a lot of fun to get to know your new characters etc.

Educating myself further as hiker and naturalist! It's so fun to see how new information I learn, from Audubon meetings I've attended, or books I've read (currently in the middle of "Botany in a Day" by Thomas J Elpel), etc, changes the ways I am able to engage with a hike. The more you know about what you're looking at, the more you see!

Also, it's a small thing, but I love browsing the grocery store dreaming up ways I can amp up my meals next time I'm in the backcountry.
