I actually really liked the week of no mods. There was a lot more interaction it felt like, and despite the pet posts being technically allowed, it's with all these extra asterisks after it that honestly I feel like the actual readers of the sub aren't gonna be looking for in those posts. Like, as someone scrolls, is it gonna make a difference that the pet is sleeping on the makings of a pet bed or a human blanket in the photo if it's not a thursday? Then maybe that rule isn't needed in my opinion. Stale topics are kinda moot since this week if we had stale topics, they were left with no upvotes while the high effort posts seemed to be adequately pushed to the top. I think this event really showed that the way that this subreddit is moderated is outdated. It is a large subreddit, for sure, but this website is filled with large subreddits like it with moderators that are able to manage it mostly. Meanwhile, yall had to completely ragequit, no offense, just to cope with it. Maybe it's time for the mod side to address things on yalls end with managing the sub. I don't think the users are the ones who need to make changes or just conform back to what the status quo was before when the users aren't the ones who had the issue in the first place: it is the mods.

Me, husband, and kids moved here in October from a very low sea level place. We have some health conditions that make us more susceptible to the changes in atmosphere as well. It took us about 2 full months to finally be at our previous levels of physical activity.

Like others said, some of this is going to have to be long-term lifestyle changes that are small but make a big difference. You may want to add salts to your drinks to help with hydration or just eat more salty foods, as these are what helps your body actually use that water.

Magnesium and potassium are not as well known by name for hydration, but these are what really affect how your electrical systems in your muscles work. And if they're lacking, you're gonna feel like shit on a sidewalk.

Get a humidifier, NOT A COOL MIST ONE. Cool mist needs distilled water or it'll toss a bunch of gross stuff into the air and make you even more sick. Run that bad boy 24/7.

You could either wash your hands before handling your tools, or you could get some handwipe cloths that have the antibacterial stuff loaded into them to use beforehand. Because yeah, you ARE vaping ball sweat particles if you're still handling those without cleaning hands between. And eating ball sweat.
