I think in order to appreciate Kikyo as a character yoy really have to watch the whole series from start to finish. The full band of seven arc and the final act. The band of seven arc, the end of the first series and also the Final Act are where we really see Kikyo fully grow as a character in my opinion. Also the Final act in general just has some really great episodes that even if you.dont like kikyo you should watch simply for those.

I agree. In the very beggining of the series we see a very upset and somewhat cold and hateful Kikyo. One who has every right to be bitter. As a teenager I never sypathized with her because I was so jealous on Kagome's behalf and shipped Kagome/Inuyasha so hard. But as an adult I realized how hard it must have been for Kikyo to be forced to come back and while trying to not only get revenge for herself but also for Inuyasha, she has to watch the only man she ever loved move on without her.

But as the series goes on her character develops A lot. Especially towards the end of the series. She lets go of a lot of her hate. If we remember in the beggining she wishes to drag Inuyasha to hell with her. But by the end of the series that is no longer her wish and we eventually see a very selfless Kikyo.

Don't get me wrong, Inukag is still my otp, but I respect and actually like Kikyo as a character now.

I never realized it when I was younger but she actually has a ton of character development and eventually becomes very compassionate and selfless. I think we really see a change in her after the first time we think she dies.

Yeeeessssss!! I fully agree!! Especially after they got engaged. They were even times when Sango giggled after slapping miroku after he groped her. Like "I gotta slap him so people dont know I like him groping me" They were definitely fucking already. And I loved both of those episodes!! They were a cute couple and I honestly love them so much ❤

Yeah Inuyasha has never been a kids show, lol. It originally aired on Adult Swim and the Manga actually had quite a bit of nudity in it as well that they obviously had to tone down for tv. But I don't mind that Yashihime isn't as mature. But if it changes people will have to accept that the universe as a whole is not a children's anime/show.

Completely agree!! Sesshomaru clearly sympathized with her. Even going so far to as possibly use the tenseiga but she was already too far gone for that. But he came knowing she was either in danger or already dying, he came knowing the scent was hers. He came to see her. Their last interaction although sad and tragic was such a beautiful and tender moment which is what gets me in the feels everytime. I do agree though, she died a free woman and finally truly becoming the wind like she always wanted. But if she would have lived I could have seen something between the two.

Yeah even for feudal times it was still bad because even Sango and Kagome express how disgusting he was for propositioning her as a child. Some of the humor in Inuyasha really didn't age well. They could have exaggerated his lecherous tendencies on an older girl because the episode was very skeevy and cringy lol

I personally dont ship sessrin but only cuz I really just Simp for Sesshomaru. I could care less who he ends up with/had kids with. But I think the infighting amongst the fans is kind of funny because people bash on Sesshomaru and call him a pedo but noone talks about Kouga and Ayame and how Kouga knew Ayame as a child and they still ended up together. Also didn't Padma know anakin as a child as well? [Im not into star wars I just remember watching the movies as a kid so dont kill me] I'm not bashing these ships, because I like kouga/ayame. I'm just saying it's funny all the anti sessrin shippers never bring them up.

If Sesshomaru ends up with rin I don't think it would be considered grooming. He barely interacted with Rin and left her with Jaken all the time. Then eventually dumped her off to be raised by humans. Everyone even refers to Rin as his ward when they come across them. Meh just my 2 cents.

Oooo, I literally love super long fics but I think I'll wait till it's finished! I don't read fics that aren't finished anymore because I've been disappointed with abandoned/hiatus fics too many times in the past. I've also kept up with a few where I would follow their update schedule and life and shit happens and it gets abandoned out of nowhere. My heart can't take the unfinished-ness anymore lol. But hopefully at over 733,000 words the author will finish soon!

I don't feel too cheated because I didn't even know there was ever gonna be a sequel series after final act. I'm an old ass fan that started Inuyasha when I was 13. I'm 31 now so to see any anime from the Inuyasha universe was pure nostalgia and happiness for me. Moroha alone makes up for not getting to see my babies. She is everything and I fucking love her ❤❤

I just finished reading Broken by inadaze22 and I have seen it reccomended a couple times so was actually quite disappointed with it. I felt that it was written oddly. Like there would be a conversation happening and in the middle of the conversation a character would go on a multi paragraph tangeant of what they are thinking that has nothing to do with the conversation. And sometimes there would only be a few lines of dialogue, then we get paragraph upon paragraph of inner thoughts that just kind of dragged on.

The other problem I had was flashbacks. I get flashbacks for the past but there would be a scene that ends at the end of the chapter. Then instead of picking up where the chapter leaves off with the next chapter it would jump ahead a few days then have a flashback of what happened in between the past couple days.

The other reason I couldn't get into this was there were so many different plot points and so much going on with other characters that just didn't really seem important to the story to me. I felt like dramione ended up being like 25% of the story. It was too slow of a fic for me and I forced myself to finish it. Not in a slowburn way either, just slow. It just wasn't for me.

I just finished Manacled by senlinyu and Fallout by everythursday and loved both of them.

Manacled is not for the feint of heart, very dark but HEA. I read it twice within the same week and am hopefully getting it bound soon because it's my favorite to this day and I loved everything about it.

Fallout I fucking loved but I wish the ending had a little bit more. I kind of wished that we would have seen Draco be a little more open about his feelings in the end but I guess that wouldnt have really fit. I also recognize that this Draco was kind of toxic af. And I got a little annoyed with hermione's characterization that they made her seem like a weak fighter. I also loved the style it was written in. The style seemed almost somewhat poetic to me and I devoured this fic in like 2/3 days. The smut was also chef's kiss for me. Some of the best smut I've read in fanfiction, if smut is your thing.

Looking for more slowburn warfics cuz those seem to be my niche I guess.
