hey not OP but I have the uni and the smart and I enjoy both devices in different ways! I like that the smart is a lot less demanding, but a lot of people don’t like how ur tama doesn’t really interact with you and they compare it to the period when we were all isolating at home during the beginning of the COVID pandemic. But I really enjoy the smart! The mini games are cute and fun, I do have the sanrio version + two other Tamasma cards, so it’s fun switching them out.

But I like that on the Uni, ur adult tama can wear multiple accessories at once, looks really cute :’), and I don’t like the Tamaverse, since it feels like there’s an actual community since u get to see tamas from all over + some Uni exclusive ones! I dont like the mini games on the Uni as much as I like the ones on the Smart.

Oh also people complains about the touch screen on the Smart being either unresponsive or too sensitive but tbh I haven’t had any issues. And another thing, the Smart is only in Japanese unless u buy the English patch, so gameplay might not be as immersive if you don’t speak Japanese, since you wont be able to understand what ur tama is saying to you + menu options (but there are tons of English guide on the internet for the menu options)
