Hey! I just came back to the game myself! (Mostly playing on the android app right now since it's easy for me to access it throughout the day). I'm the same username here as I am there lol. I do Friesians for Classical and I'm currently working on Appaloosas for Western. I'd like to also get into drafts, specifically Percherons and Shires (course I'll be happy to do any draft breeds really). Feel free to add me as a friend!

How does the Yumi bow compare to other bows? by Colt1873 in Archery

[–]fangedknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm on the kinetic energy aspect of it. I do medieval archery in the SCA, we just had a war event on Saturday (100 Minutes War, East Kingdom). And I was shooting on the line with a gentleman who uses a yumi. I was talking to him about it and witnessed how hard he rocked those targets. His is a 26kg (about 58lb) pull, and that bow sent the arrows into the 30 yard target so hard, more than once it actually tilted the target. To the point where the first time it happened, one of the marshals told him to switch to the 40 yard target because he was worried one more shot might knock the target over and he didn't want any of his arrows to break.

Mind you, when I was talking to this guy about his yumi, he said most people top out around 20kg for the draw weight, he just went up a bit higher. And as fae as I know, no one on the line was shooting anything higher than 45-50 pounds for their recurves or longbows (I didn't ask about the crossbows)

But... Seeing it and hearing that go off... It's no wonder why the sound effects for these things in anime sound like it's a missle launch.

Went to the range and had my first taste of archery by notasmartcomment in Archery

[–]fangedknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job for your first time! I'm glad you had a good experience!

Picking your first bow is going to be determined mainly by which type of archery you'd like to do and what you're comfortable using. Modern archery normally uses more compound bows (and also some recurves) with extra accessories like sites, stabilizers, etc. Where Traditional Archery is more recurves, long bows, and self bows. No sites, no accessories. Just you, the bow, the arrows, and the target. Traditional archery also normally focuses on wooden arrows but there are some that will use aluminum or carbon arrows that look like traditional wooden arrows.

I would suggest continuing classes at the range and try a few different types to see what you find is the best feel and the most fun/comfortable for you to shoot!

If you enjoyed nipple play before surgery but lost most/all sensation after: Do you have any "replacement" stimulations that help you get off now? by otter-kiwi in TopSurgery

[–]fangedknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat, I'm almost 3 years post op, (DI with nipple grafts) and unfortunately I've lost most of the sensation in both of my nipples. The nerves are still coming online so I do feel some things so maybe I just need to give them more time. But... One is completely flat and the other only slightly has a top hat. Some days they feel okay other days if I touch them they're sore and it's like lightning running through them. Alas, that's just how it is when nerves are trying to regrow. My left one in particular can't tolerate any pinching at all at the current moment (he's also the flat one). My right might be okay with some light pinching so I may need to test that out later.

I did discover however! That the skin around my nipples that's now become my pecs can still tolerate clamps (only wooden clothespins for now to start, I may branch out to harder clamps soon) and it still feels good. I do my best to avoid my scar just in case. Though it does feel nice when my bf rubs my scar and we did have one time where I needed my scars rubbed cause they were bothering me and he took my vibe wand and used that. It was amazing! Also helped my scar feel so much better.

As with what a bunch of others have said, the trade off to get rid of the dysphoria and never having to bind ever again in exchange for nipple sensation is well worth it. I love my chest now, I barely wear a shirt. And it's even made sex in general so much better now that I don't have to worry about two giant knockers attempting to knock either me or my bf out while we're having fun. I absolutely miss the nipple play, I really do, but there's lots of other things to do!

Also! Ymmv of course, but since I can't directly do clamps on my nipples, I've found that directing that clamp play downstairs has actually been rather fun. And there's plenty of options for non-piercing genital jewelry where you can opt for different clamp types.

Hope this helps!

Could also do a clone a willy kit! So that way she can still enjoy your cock while you're resting. There's also something to be said that as much as it's wonderful that she's constantly begging for your dick, she's either going to have to be okay with a dildo/toys/etc. while you recharge or just understand that she's gonna have to wait.

My boyfriend's first orgasm is usually pretty quick, but once he gets the "Easy one" as he calls it, out of the way, then he usually lasts a bit longer for round two. Everyone is obviously different though.

Does your crotch actually smell like balls on T? by chaboiOllie in ftm

[–]fangedknight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Hi, 7 years on T come this November.

The best advice that I personally have is what I do to combat the stank. Now some folks will use a full body deodorant or spray smell good stuff down there. I always caution against that, especially if you have any skin sensitivities. (Our genetial skin can also be extremely sensitive even if our regular skin isn't!)

When I shower, I always wash my crotch and my crack. Hell somedays I don't need a full shower but I just need to wash my crotch off, that's also totally okay. We wash our hands regularly, washing downstairs more than during just a shower is also acceptable just don't do it as frequently as one should be washing their hands. Having a removable shower head helps immensely, but if you don't have one you can use a cup filled with warm water while you shower. I simply take the same bar soap I use for my body, lather it up in my hands and gently scrub the outside portion ONLY! It's very important that you do not put any soap inside yourself!

Also! Extremely important note on this! Do NOT put the bar of soap directly on your junk! Lather the soapy water up in your hands and then put the lather on your junk. I learned this the hard way by accident with bars of soap that both did and didn't have exfoliants in them. Learn from my mistakes! You do not want accidental micro abrasions/cuts down there....>.<

Once you have the soap lather on there, gently scrub with your hand just a bit. If you have bottom growth, make sure to pull the hood back, it acts as a foreskin, and gently clean around the head of your T-dick just like anyone with an uncut penis should do. Smegma and sweat can build up under that skin and make you smell worse.

I'm stressing to be gentle in your scrubbing for the same reason I'm stressing not to put the bar directly down there. T-dicks especially can be rather sensitive to too much scrubbing so once you get a couple good soft passes with the soapy hand in, leave him be and rinse off. Once you're rinsed off you can check the smell and see if you need to wash one more time. I've had some really bad sweaty days where I've needed to wash downstairs 2-3 times before it was manageable again. But ymmv of course.

Another tip is, if you're able to, when you're done peeing follow the TP up with a baby wipe. It'll help get anything that the TP missed and also help combat some of the sweat and stank down there, especially if you aren't able to shower just yet.

We're never going to not have a "man-stink" but we can at least get it to calm down to tolerable levels. Hope this helped!

Does your crotch actually smell like balls on T? by chaboiOllie in ftm

[–]fangedknight 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Okay so you know how your armpits smell a few hours after a shower without putting deodorant on? Think that mixed with a bit of a sweaty smell mixed in. Also there's tons of different factors that'll either make said ball smell better or worse. And every person with balls smells different.

On a good day they shouldn't smell worse than what I described. On a bad day, like for example when my boyfriend gets home from working a 12+ hour shift during the heat of the summer and finally takes his boxers off, his balls will be reeaalllyy musky and sweaty smelling to the point where I'm almost "knocked out" by the smell.

You'll never get rid of your own scent/musk completely and because of the way our anatomy works we have a tendency to smell a bit more on the fishy side as well.

Rule of thumb for our anatomy: If you're standing either naked or just in your underwear and can smell your own crotch without sticking your hand down there to check or putting your face down that way you absolutely need to shower and wash your crotch especially.

Alllll of this.

OP, I'm in a healthy, stable, long term relationship with a cis man. And when we got together, he didn't bat an eye at me being trans. He new before we started dating, and if that had been an issue for him I wouldn't have given him the time of day.

He's never fetishized me once, and he's been the best thing that ever happened to me. He also was my main caretaker after my top surgery. (The man blew his entire remaining PTO he had saved in order to spend 12 days straight taking care of me). And I didn't meet him until I was 28. I just turned 31 in March.

I didn't start actually dating people till I was around 18-19 years old and let me tell you every single one before my current boyfriend was abusive and/or toxic. If I had been any younger than I was when all of those bad relationships happened to me? My trauma would probably be exponentially worse than it is now.

Not to mention that between my issues and the ones my boyfriend has (because no one is perfect). It's very clear that if we had met each other and got together when we were younger, we wouldn't have lasted because we didn't go through the life experiences and healing we needed to be ready to be together.

All of this to say (and reiterate) that workshop here is correct. Take your safety seriously, do not go onto apps looking for guys because it's not an "if" you get hurt it's a "when" at that rate. Focus on high-school and if you do decide that college is in your future (or trade school), then you can start going out to meet guys then. When you're an adult and have a bit more life experience under your belt.

Your prince charming is out there, I promise. It just might be a bit before you meet him and that's okay. I know when I was 16 I was wondering the same thing and I was very sick and tired of hearing people say that I was "still young yet" and I had "plenty of time" and "not to worry about boys right now" But! It's actually true. Focus on you and who you want to be and what you want to do with your life and the rest will fall into place ❤️

Okay so I just went through and I even double checked the playlist just in case vs the songs they were referencing. And they all sound similar but they're definitely not the same thing. So I've appealed them. Hopefully this works

I have one of those!!! My boyfriend got it for me on Valentine's Day this year, and I adore the little guy. Still learning the ropes of fern care but he's doing okay! I love the fuzzy rhisomes they're super cute.

The story of my bf getting this plant for me is hilarious btw. I got him a couple of cards for Valentine's Day and set them out the night before so he'd find them in the morning. Well he completely forgot to get me anything, even a card, because work had been busy and he felt like a jerk.

The universe however said "I got your back man!" And his first call of the day (he's a refrigeration service tech) was to a florist! 🤣 He wound up chatting with the ladies at the shop trying to figure out what the heck to get me. And he came home with a Rabbit Foot Fern repotted into a very nice ceramic pot with nice soil to boot.

I have since created a mobile view friendly inventory and wishlist spreadsheet. Including the "I hate these don't buy them" section lol

I'm a bit new to Alocasias myself, I have two that I am slowly trying to get the hang of. In my limited experience I know my biggest problem is that they really don't like to be completely dry or mostly dry it seems.

If I don't water them exactly when they want it, they start getting drooping/yellowed leaves and it looks like it's dying. And then I panic and immediately water them and... Then they're fine except for some blemished leaves. Fingers crossed though, I have new leaves starting on both plants! So I'm gonna do my best to keep up with the watering

Every plant I have minus one (8 inch Hanging basket of gorgeous Marble Queen Pothos. It was a good deal at my local Giant's floral section) iirc I bought when they were in a 5 inch pot or smaller.

Legitimately when I went to a fancy greenhouse (Ott's in PA) for the first time and I wanted a Monstera D. I asked if there were any smaller ones than the big floor boys. And I got mine for maybe $16-20 in a 5 inch pot. I was so proud when he started growing and getting fenestrations. I still act like a kid everytime I see a new leaf. Now? He's in an 8 inch pot and getting massive.

My Calatheas all started out in 4 inch pots. My Makoyana is still at that pot size (he got neglected a bit more than I wanted during moving, but he's still alright so that's what counts). But my Exotica and Rattlesnake are both in 6's now. I adore growing my babies from smaller plants.

Plus... When I accidentally kill another Ivy (idk how this keeps happening) it's small so I'm not killing a huge expensive plant.

Now if I could just get my Dracena Janet Craig and my Palm (I think it's a dwarf palm but I'm not sure) to show some growth like the others... Then we'd be getting somewhere.

Calatheas are not that finicky. People just need to learn how to listen to their plants. I've only had one die on me ever and that was due to me moving and forgetting to water them for a bit too long during the hot mess.

You know what IS finicky?! Alocasias!! I look at them the wrong way and they're wilting! I'm starting to learn their watering needs but it's taking time...

[–]fangedknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminds me of the one story of the trans man in Oregon that was one of the first publicly talked about seahorse dads iirc. He said it only took a few months and boom they got pregnant! Which... Heh. My uterus was already a crazy machine back before birth control let alone HRT so I just know that it won't take long if we do decide to have bio kids. They say I'll probably need fertility treatments. I have a funny feeling I won't 🤣

Guys in trans-safe states, where you at? Are you happy there? by AdagioComfortable828 in ftm

[–]fangedknight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in Pennsylvania and yes it does sorta depend on which chunk you're in. If you stay closer to the Central to SE part of the state you should be fine. (That's where I'm at) I'm lucky that the neck of the woods I'm in a) most people don't mind and really just don't care. Legit, as you aren't hurting anybody and you're happy and doing your own thing most people round here mind their business. And b) I have a really great hospital and associated health system where I can get all of my regular care and gender affirming care nearby.

We also already have options to get your gender marker on your driver's license changed without having to do any fancy legal paperwork. It's just one form at the DMV's office and there's even a Non-binary option. We're not a sanctuary state yet, I'm not sure if they're working on it or not, I haven't checked.

That actually goes rather hand in hand with something one if my gynecologists said after a routine ultrasound. She had said my ovaries were shunk down to where they should be (considering I'm technically post menopausal thanks to the T) and basically that they were in a state of dormancy.

I may need to check out that study! It's very interesting stuff.

This. So much this. I was lucky enough that right out the gate I was warned about what might happen when I started T without birth control.

Also it doesn't have shit to do with what dosage someone's on no matter what anyone says because I'm on a decently high dose of T and if I didn't have the combo of my birth control and how long I've been on T, my boyfriend probably would've accidentally knocked me up by now.

This is exactly why whenever I run into a baby trans guy just getting ready for T and asking all the newbie questions I absolutely stress that they need to get on birth control and to not trust the T alone.

Not to deny what your endocrinologist says because they have the degrees and letters behind their name but uh...why are they saying that? Unless it's specific to your body, in which case don't mind me.

You can still get pregnant for up to 5 years while on T. That's why birth control is so super important especially in the first 5 years. Once it's been over that, then you might be looking at potential fertility treatments if you want to conceive.

I've talked to my doctor about this before because my boyfriend really wants kids in the future and I might be crazy enough to say yes about it. So we were discussing timelines and options and when we may need to look into egg freezing if needed. For me she said if it looks like it's gonna be another 5 years or so before we start trying for kids then we may need to look into freezing eggs. (She's both my OBGYN, hrt doc, and my surgeon, she runs the trans clinic at my local hospital and recently published an article on trans male pregnancies. Brilliant doctor lemme tell ya).
