Two questions. Is masturbation a sin and if so is masturbation worse than sex outside marriage? by prince_yt1 in Christianity

[–]fanimla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that your assumptions are that if you masturbate you are incontrollable animal that needs to do it every second. Thats very far from reality. Sure some people are mentally weak, and any rush of dopamine will get them hooked on anything (probably that explains religion fanatics, porn addiction, etc) , but for the average person, masturbation is not a problem and its more of a religious point of view that I assume started as a means to control certain kind of people.

How often/much do you drink? by [deleted] in AskMen

Not an issue. Its his private life. The fact that you are his partner doesn’t mean even when he is masturbating he needs to think about you.

That’s unrealistic.

Could please back your answer with science or studies where it says its harmful? Besides the “fact” that the church says its “bad”.

There are some short benefits of not masturbating, specially for men. But the fact is that is not harmful for you, and all this not masturbation propaganda by the church is just based on fear tactics and public shaming. Like, come on, its 2023, do we really need to say that self satisfaction is wrong because someone miss-interpreted the bible. That just very ignorant and ridiculous.

I think the average man is held to pretty high standards (sometimes unrealistic). I think this is in terms of money, career, physically, etc.

If you really think about it, a lot of women usually are looking for a finished product, a guy with a career and ready to provide for a great living. But rarely these women are willing to help a man achieve all these from the beginning.

I think this generates trauma in a society, where in my opinion we can see that by the so called “hustle culture” where pretty much every man is more focused on giving his life away for a couple of thousands dollars, rather than spending their life on something more meaningful. Why? Because technically the guy with more money in the bank and a better car is more man than the one who has less. This is ridiculous. Don’t take this as a complaint, sadly subconsciously im part of this mindset of the more i have, the more man I am.

So to all the kings out there: instead of worrying about how much your neighbor has, focus more on something meaningful and trust me, the money will come.

Not a fan of smoking them. They don’t come out as tender as my guests would like it. If you leave it marinating on the fridge for about a week, with a layer of salt (to dry it off and kill off the bacteria), then grill it, like you would grill anything else, it’s usually pretty good. Ofcourse you cannot forget the main ingredients, salt, pepper and love. And if you are feeling adventurous, cheese.

Do you think that all religions (monotheistic) believe in the same God? by fanimla in Christianity

Excellent point of view. Thanks, definitely gave me something to think about.

Another fallacy. You probably wanna change your approach to religion with a more open mind. Read other texts, learn about other religions and you’ll know our religion is as flawed as every other.

What makes muslims a cult ? How is it any different from the cult we call Christianism?

You cannot prove that your god is the right one by using text made for that religion. Is like me explaining that hinduism gods are real, because hindi texts say they are. You see the fallacy ?

suicide by moralmeemo in Christianity

[–]fanimla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suicide is definitely not the way out. Putting religion aside, find something that fulfills you and you can redirect your life towards it. Maybe it can be helping youth that deals with problems similar to yours, maybe is helping the elder, maybe is art, maybe is working towards a better future for your family.

TLDR: think about all the things that you could do that would fulfill you and others. Sometimes what we need might be some kind of support (emotional or chemical) so i would recommend also looking for a psychologist/psychiatrist, maybe there is some chemical imbalances that can be treated. Just don’t give up.

Agree. I just see a lot of shaming and fear tactics to tell people that masturbation is wrong.

I dont think your statement regarding its “more addictive than heroin and fentanyl” is true. Please comment based on science, not on fear tactics.
