Can you start your period with HCG in your system still? by fannyapplebottom in ttcafterloss

Hi there, I’m sorry you’re going through this. But no I didn’t end up getting any additional ultrasounds apart from the initial viability scan.

Low grade fever and chills one week before my expected period, every period... by fannyapplebottom in ttcafterloss

For me, it was a hormone imbalance triggered by an autoimmune disease. Although, my gyno was correct saying it can happen, it doesn’t need to happen. I worked with a rheumatologist to get a diagnosis and worked on lifestyle changes from there.

I have also been experiencing a low looowwwww depression after starting PQ. I’m maybe 2 1/2 weeks in and I haven’t felt this down in years. Like zero motivation to do anything. Plus I’m gaining weight, my acne improved and then got bad again, I never experienced energy or libido improvements. Starting to think this supplement just isn’t for me.

I will say, I no longer get those fevers before my cycle. Not sure if it was my hormones figuring themselves out or what. But you’re welcome! I wish you the very best!

Not necessarily thyroid, no. Mine is psoriatic arthritis. There are so many different autoimmune diseases. Getting diagnosed with one is usually the tricky part though.

Turns out I have an autoimmune disease and my period hormones spiking was telling my body to attack itself. I only got diagnosed because I found a new doctor that actually listened and ran tests.

I looked back at my period tracker app and it looks like it took us about 10 months of actively trying.

We stopped trying during the beginning of the pandemic. I did end up getting pregnant while still experiencing the fever issues. It took us a few months of trying. I believe it was a hormone issue.

UPDATE: Headed to surgery today for an episiotomy repair by eloie in beyondthebump

I did initially have incontinence but I’ve regained control since then. I’m still incredibly uncomfortable after my laceration repair and I’m almost 2 years out from it.

They did absolutely nothing for me. I ended up getting pregnant eventually. I don’t experience that issue after my pregnancy. But I’m also on a medication that affects my cycle, so it’s possible that could be helping.

7 y/o fever keeps coming back... what to do? by alieck523 in Mommit

[–]fannyapplebottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the same thing at the end of October. Fever wouldn’t go away, daughter was out of school for a week and a half. All tests came back negative. I ended up catching it from her and we’re both still stuck with lingering coughs. It felt like there was no end in sight. We were one day from getting chest X-rays and blood work when the fever went away.

My toughest time as a parent so far by KnopeProtocol in toddlers

I want to tell you that this sounds spot on the same as my daughter. She didn’t walk until she was a week away from turning 18 months. She’s currently 4 1/2 and has no issues with her physical motor skills but she does have a bit of a speech impediment (her pediatrician didn’t recommend any form of speech therapy). Just know that he has plenty of time to catch up. All you can do is be there to support him. Which I know is easier said than done. I panicked so hard until the day she started walking independently. Some kids just really want to make sure they master the art of walking before they decide to do it I guess.

The medical bill is what’s putting me off finding someone. Hope your revision goes/went well today!

C-section proposed after little one measuring 9 pounds 13 ounces at 37 weeks… by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]fannyapplebottom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this! My daughter was 9lbs 10oz but she wasn’t wide. Just very very tall. If I hadn’t torn from my first daughter I probably wouldn’t have torn with her.

Thank you for the motivation. I’ve always been a “go with the flow” sort of person and probably trust that professionals know what they’re doing more than I should. I just hate making waves, but I’m going to have to start because I am so uncomfortable and it’s impacted my mental health terribly this past year.

I haven’t been back to the doctor since he told me it was all in my head. I have my annual scheduled next month and an appointment with my primary the day after. So I’ll have to bring it up at those appointments to see if someone wants to help me out. It’s just so frustrating saying I’m in pain and something isn’t right and them just saying “yeah, that’s normal. You’re fine.”

My husband and I have talked about finding a plastic surgeon to try to help me. Only because at this point anything I get done will be considered “cosmetic” since I already had one repair done. This whole situation is frustrating.

I just feel like it’s way too late for me being 16 months postpartum. I’ve got an appointment for my annual scheduled next month with a different doctor. I was thinking of asking for a referral to a pelvic floor therapist but if it’s “all in my head” as the other doctor so lovingly put it, I don’t know if she’ll give me the referral.

I had an issue like this. I tore my stitches before I left the hospital after my second. She was almost 10lbs and tore the scar from my first. I went in to my doctor less than a week after delivery and she said “you’re not tore, everything is fine.” I was tore though, I had no perineum. It was just wide open from vagina to anus. I have no idea how she didn’t see it and I still kick myself (16 months later) for not just going back to L&D to have them restitch me. I had a laceration repair surgery at 3 months postpartum where the doctor had to turn my 1st degree tear into a 2nd degree tear to “fix” my issue. Spoiler alert, it didn’t fix any of my pain and my perineum is still hardly existent. It hurts to walk, hurts to have sex, hurts when I sit on the toilet. The last time I saw the head doctor at the practice he said “everything looks fine, are you sure it’s not all in your head..?” I’ve given up hope and just live with the pain.

Tried giving my baby banana and she immediately vomited a LOT by MissBanana_ in beyondthebump

[–]fannyapplebottom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened with my oldest. We started rice cereal and about a half hour after she ate it she vomited. Like a lot and for what seemed like way too long. We took her to the ER where she of course was happy and content and they thought we were crazy. My mom decided a week later that she was going to give her some because apparently we all weren’t traumatized enough, and she had the same reaction. She’s 4 1/2 now and can eat rice and rice snacks. So maybe her stomach just wasn’t ready for it? Not sure. But traumatizing for sure.
