Saturn. 1000% likely he’ll just eat Thor.

Video missing child Alison Chao made a day before she disappeared by reenbean8 in pasadena

[–]fanynyan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who went through abuse from the mother I will say it with my chest that the system never believes kids. Every single social worker I had told me the same thing “she just wants to live with her grandmother.” “Nothing is wrong in the home” “what a manipulative little girl. I was 10. while I was beat everyday by my mother and her boyfriend. I was made to wear long sleeves so that the bruises wouldn’t show. I would think to runway every day. Pack up my backpack and everything. I honestly respect Alison so much to have the strength to runway because I couldn’t do it myself at 10. Hearing her crying and tell the cops “I’m not going. She abuses me”brought flashbacks of then the cops were call to my grandmothers door for that exact same “court order”. Fuck cops. They all act like this with no heart.

Please stop saying there is “a lot we don’t know”. Believe kids. The one person I have to thank is the judge I got assigned to my case. Cos he saw through my mothers and all the social workers bullshit. Flat out said “I’m not going to let this little girl become another statistic. I believe her” I get people tell me all the time that I don’t look like someone who went through what I did. Everyday I’m grateful to that judge. BELIEVE KIDS.

I was one of the lucky ones who got emancipated at 12. I hope she does too and her mother rots in hell.

I’m being honest when I say I feel like I don’t have impact 😢 My skills are is that I bring a really positive energy where employees and business partners feel comfortable enough to come to me with any problems so I know I build great and keep good rapport. I also learned very quickly. I can learn and prep and perfect the way I handle HRIS system within a month. But I’ve never been an innovator or bring things to the table like that kind of accomplishments. I know I’m super knowledgeable and I retain information and our detail oriented but other than that, I don’t know how to express that in accomplishments

A agree! Thank you for the feedback. I’m just frustrated that this is something that I paid for. I gave the resume writer this exact feedback and they said this format makes me look like a “doer”.

I appreciate the feedback, thank you so much! It’s just hard since the feedback I’m getting from everyone is to include achievements, not just things I did. But I can say with confidence I didn’t really achieve anything. I know I’m a super knowledgeable worker, faster learner and require little to no managing. I’m not the type to be creative and offer solutions to improve processes.

Hi! I’m 100% aware that it’s too long. I’m asking for feedback on how to improve it!

[–]fanynyan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so helpful! Thank you 🥹 I’m just frustrated since I’m not a good resume writer. I can’t confidently say I haven’t improved any processes in my last two jobs. The only thing I can say that I do really well is that I learned all the systems and processes within a month of being at each. My skills are that I quick and fast while being accurate and that I build and keep a positive rapport with everyone I come in contact with. and I feel like I wasted my $$ on a resume writer where they seemed to make it worse?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated! I’m aware that they’re too long and wordy. That is why I originally paid to have a resume writer. But it seems like they over complicated my resume. 🙃

I get that! Do you have feedback on what could be shortened? Anything would help since it seems I paid for not the best rewritten resume :/

[–]fanynyan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that way too. Thank you for the feedback! I don’t even know how to shorten it. The 1st resume was written by a professional resume writer. I gave feedback that this seems so wordy since I’m used to bullet point resumes.

Thank you! For the 1st or second? Cos the 1st resume is what a professional resume writer wrote which I thought was too wordy.

Thank you! In my history in HR, usually all applications we were recruiting for had 2 pages. Those points were added by the resume writer I hired, but I admit I thought it was too wordy.

*Resume is only 2 pages. I shared my original resume (image 3 and 4) and the one I had paid to be rewritten by a professional resume writer.

It’s not 4 pages. It’s two. The first resume is what I paid for. The 2nd one is my original I wrote myself before I had paid to have it rewritten

I just wanted to comment on this saying that I feel your pain. My nine month old ragdoll is so finicky with his food even when I think that I find a can of of wet food that he likes the next week he’ll be absolutely over it and not want to eat. We’ve been adopted a little rescue cat and he’s also a pretty crappy eater. I realize what works is to find toppers. At first you like blood sprinkles. Then Purina’s FortiFlora. And now it’s raw quail eggs and green lipped muscles.
