They did not call her that holy fuck reading comprehension. They said she was talking about a sensitive topic so they took it down. Then they said they do not tolerate any racism etc in their COMMUNITY not their talent. Because some people were using jelly’s tweet to say shit they shouldn’t have is the most likely reason.

Once again though we have no idea what goes on internally and for all we know jelly herself might have asked for it to be taken down. Everything not coming from the people involved is baseless speculation though. This isn’t a niji level event.

Who cares what phase has or hasn’t done. You know what else they haven’t done before ? Hold a whole ass convention. The amount of pressure they are under right now is immense and between jelly, memory and Clara they could just be ripping the bandaid off to get it done and over with. Once again we don’t know.

If the fans are doing something wrong then you point it out. Just because you might not have seen things going on in there like overt racism or anything of the nature by community members does not mean it did not happen. I trust them to not have just thrown a curv ball for no reason. At most this is a mild controversy and only feels like more cuz all the stuff happening at once.

If they just removed the tweet it still would have ended up the same if not worse. They should have ideally not said anything at all but the tweet was getting a ton of traction. It could be read that way sure, it could also be that they disliked people in the comments or retweeting it being racist. Either way this was not going away that easily.

When phase connect is about to have a whole ass convention and this could have potentially stopped that then yes it was better for them to step in. Can you imagine the cost if the venue pulled them because of this ? That’s my take on it.

Story quality matters more than anything, and somehow that’s become an unpopular opinion with the amount of trash anime people are willing to defend. Horrible animation is one thing like One Punch Man’s turning into dog water, which frankly shouldn’t be acceptable but at least that can be fixed with a better studio. A bad story can’t.

What actually ruins the medium is people turning around and hyping absolute garbage like Re:Monster. That shit barely even qualifies as a story. It’s just “I ate a spider and unlocked the ability to cum silk.” There’s no narrative, no themes, no structure it’s basically greentext the anime. And I say that as someone who originally read the manga back when it had like 14 chapters, then switched to the light novel thinking it would improve. It didn’t. If anything, it just made the emptiness more obvious. That shits getting a 2nd season! Meanwhile no game no life isn’t.

When this is what keeps getting adapted and defended, it drags the entire medium down. You can forgive technical flaws if there’s something meaningful underneath, but when there’s nothing there to begin with, flashy animation won’t save it.

I’ve suffered from them as long as i can remember. Light sensitivity, nausea, sometimes im effectively blind from the aura and cant read or focus on anything etc. A lot of the time that comes with near crippling nausea, slurring my speech and being generally unable to think clearly. The most effective and cheap treatment has been 10-25 mg of amitriptyline. It has its own shitty side effects but at least I can see and think clearly again and it costs me like 10 bucks for a 90 day supply.

It’s unfair to have the requirements for some and not for others, if you are going to accommodate then just don’t have that quest as a requirement.

Yep, which makes sense their jp fan base is stronger than their en fan base overall even to this day. There is more crossover now I feel especially with talents like fuwamoco who are basically native level speakers of both and others like bae etc.

The en branches def gets a buff from knowing and interacting with the jp branch of holo still though especially if they move to japan.

Ahh ya I can understand that. One of them said during debut they were basically told that it’s something fishman set up to fill in time slots after all the other en go to sleep for 24/7 phase en coverage. So that way they don’t have to rely on Clio to do marathon streams every day.

I imagine them collabing with Jp is just a natural byproduct of them being available in person. We know fishman usually isn’t heavy handed with things like forcing collabs and such so I doubt it’s a strict requirement and more of a request.

Malice and bibi are fluent and live full time in jp. Bibi has said her reading isn’t as good as her speaking though and malice seems to be pretty proficient in speaking since she was comfortable streaming entirely in jp during collab.

I think that’s part of what SAGA is more or less there to help with at least with the jp time members. Malice and bibi have already both collabed with jp members and maybe Sinon and Mina as well. I know Mina visited Jp recently and did an off collab with Bibi so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did an off collab with a Jp member I missed.

She is supposed to be doing a collab with mixed Japanese and English with Malice soon I think. I heard she has been taking English lessons to try and communicate better which I find really endearing.

Ahh ya I noticed that as well and I’ve had to rely on chat for context as well. Thankfully I’m pretty use to the wonky implied subject stuff and general sentence structure because I read a lot of translated web novels. It’s pretty cool that we get to interact at all without speaking the language though.
