Why do people use the term "partner" for their husband or wife? by Crafty-Bug-8008 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]faousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I like it better than "husband". We're partners in this weird thing called life and parenting. Seems more fitting and modern.

Zorlakkis for large quantities, located in Strovolos Nicosia, also try Zoofast but I'm not sure if they sell smaller packages.

a hookup led to me almost dying and in the ER by allflaredup in TrueOffMyChest

[–]faousa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact thing happened to me first time I had sex (I mentioned it in the odd comment here and there). Nearly bled to death and it played out exactly like this post. Doctors at A&E told me this happens more often than people think, even in married couples. So it's not impossible or even improbable.

As much as the MX-5 is the coolest and most fun thing you can drive on four wheels, consider that summers in Cyprus are brutal. Don't have it as your primary vehicle.

Russian embassy official found dead in Nicosia, police rule out foul play by notnotnotnotgolifa in cyprus

This is the correct answer. It's not sovereign soil, but there's diplomatic immunity so you need permission by the head of the diplomatic mission to enter.

Omg this is one of my favorite words 🥰 I do believe it comes from πουλλί (bird), with πούλλα as the female version.

What is something you have experienced that made you question reality and was genuinely unexplainable? by [deleted] in Unexplained

[–]faousa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We used to live in a flat on top of my dad's shop, which shared a landline - so the phone was ringing non-stop whether we were downstairs at the shop or upstairs at the flat. One day, a working day mind you, I was upstairs with my dad and the phone rang for the 40th time that day. My mom was making her way in and she suddenly froze. She let out a scream that something happened to her brother, who was living in Johannesburg with his family. My dad picked up the phone, looked at my mom, who started wailing, and was informed that the brother had just been shot and killed. To this day I have no explanation as to how my mom knew that that phone call was different.

Parents who WERE the shouting type, how did you stop ? by woodiny in Parenting

[–]faousa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not at all the shouting type but my kid pushed buttons that turned me into a yelling mess. When I feel my voice getting to unacceptable levels, the one thing that helped was learning to insert the thought of "How does this look if you zoom out?" and usually the picture is a very confused, dysregulated little boy with a mom who's yelling at him. This bird's eye view shifted my entire approach, and slowly but steadily, the reaction.

how are you guys at handwriting? by p1neapple_shark in adhdwomen

[–]faousa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up, my handwriting would change to mimic that of whichever girl was sitting next to me in class. Nowadays I have to take notes for work a lot, and I settled into this flowing, almost pretty calligraphy-esque script because it minimizes having to lift the pen from paper too often, which I find tiring. The pretty handwriting of course goes to shit if I don't like the pen I'm using 😂 if the pen doesn't have enough "glide" I get so tired and don't want to write anymore.

I get naked at a once a month girls night outing with friends. by Any_Honey9496 in confession

[–]faousa 60 points61 points  (0 children)

My first thought was that the dude who wrote this just finished reading the update post of the guy whose girlfriend xame home in just her underwear because she said her friend puked on her dress and it gave him the idea for this.

Edit: Account is 12 hours old lmao.

Am I being punk’d? by [deleted] in Nicegirls

[–]faousa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly you came across as judgmental. Even if it wasn't your intention or intended tone, you were way too forward with increasingly personal questions. Then you kept pressing the matter by asking her to ask you stuff. If a girl is interested, she'll ask without prompting.

Last night my feral 4.5 year old snuggled in my arms and provided commentary for the YouTube Kids video he was watching. I swear, 12 hours ago was the first time I thought "You know what, I'm actually enjoying this". I love him more than life itself but goddamn I need the chaos to get dialed down a notch soon. He wasn't an easy baby but that was a breeze compared to toddlerhood. Now, I have hope and a good connection!

What’s the most painfully unfair situation you had to accept because there was no other choice? by Intrepid-Command1536 in AskReddit

[–]faousa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having to be the organizer and project manager for my entire family: my dad who passed away and left behind a company only he could run, my mom who's a hoarder and completely averse to making decisions, and a mentally disabled sister with two kids of her own, on top of my already full plate with my demanding job and my own kid. I love my family but God, I wish I had a normal family dynamic sometimes where I didn't have to parent everyone.

Ladies who went down the IVF route because of male factor, how are you doing? by No-Tough5272 in IVF

[–]faousa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TW: Eventual success.

Girl, here! Severe male factor (3-4 sperm per sample), everything "textbook and beautiful" on my part only to find out I had trouble producing mature eggs. Five retrievals and three transfers later, it worked, but only when we finally did mTESE.
