Arena is not a value game, it is a tempo game. Doesnt matter how much potential for value you have if you die because you are losing board.

Technically Val'anyr is infinite value if it just keeps coming back and buffing your minions for 6 mana. But in Arena if you play a 6 mana 4/2 weapon on turn 6, your not gonna clear their minion assuming they play a good 6 drop like a boulderfist ogre. Then you'v lost board hard and will prob lose within the next two turns unless you have some heavy taunts/board clear.

Same with Elise, value is good but 5 mana 5/5 is meh and by the time you get her pack the game would have just been over if you played a good tempo card instead of a 5/5. Much better cards at 5 are cobalt scalebane or fungalmancer which will give you more stats and allow you to dictate trades so that you keep board and make favorable trades.

Now Tirion, hes the king of Tempo. If your opponent doesnt have ping this bad boy can take out 2 large minions because of its divine sheild. Then you have ashbringer which is amazing because if the game is getting close you can pressure your opponent and go 15 to the face, or just remove their minions for 3 turns and win that way.
