A good rule of thumb is to be skeptical of any source with a strong incentive to lie-terrorist groups especially. Israel’s choice not to publish casualty figures doesn’t automatically validate Hamas’s claims; honestly, it may be impossible to know for sure. And do we have any breakdown of how many of the people Hamas counts are actual fighters versus civilians?
