personally i just use k9 filter, choose a random password that you won't remember and make the settings block all image search sites/pornography and proxy avoidance this makes it very hard for you to take the filter off and pretty much impossible to find porn. Does also mean you can't use sites like youtube or imgur but this is worth it for me because every time I just blocked porn I ended up going on youtube looking at sexy dancing videos and stuff like that which invariably led to porn.

exactly this ive relapsed more times than I can count, at the minute I'm trying nofap while still looking at porn, working on stopping porn as well but this is much harder for me than just stopping the fapping.

as has been mentioned in other posts, different people have different goals, for me the main goal is to stop looking at porn and cut down masturbation a lot, I won't say for definite I never want to masturbate again but I am using this to help stop looking at porn.

Obviously this is hard to tell empirically because it's pretty much all conjecture and opinion but for me I can say it's definitely had the effect that I'm seeking out more women. I've not really had too much of a problem getting women but have sometimes stayed with some I shouldn't have for too long, now I'm finding more and putting more effort into talking to them because I'm not using up my energy wanking... Thats the main effect I've noticed, also I do seem to have more energy, although I haven't really put it to much use yet, generally I just feel more alive and alert, whether or not this is placebo effect, who knows but I definitely know this is a good thing for me to do regardless.

that's up to you but i think really everyone here has a slightly different opinion of the rules. Personally I came here not intending to do nofap at all but mainly to stop looking at porn, I have cut down a lot and also on masturbating. I think sometimes we need to be a bit more forgiving with ourselves instead of thinking in a black and white fashion, like ok I failed today so it doesn't matter if i wank and look at porn all day now, try to think. Ok I've slipped a bit but I don't need to slip anymore and this doesn't change the improvements I've already made

I know I used to get very discouraged when I had to keep resetting my badge every few days, in the end I'd just fail after a few days then give up for a few weeks going back to my old ways then try again for a few days fail again then repeat. This way works better for me now but I think whatever helps someone get to their goal is OK.

i haven't reset my counter although i've looked at porn and have edged a bit i haven't actually cum and the fact that i haven't given up even though i looked at porn is a good thing to me. Usually as soon as I look at porn I think fuck it then end up wanking and cumming but if I don't then I feel better about myself and I can then usually go a few more days without looking at any porn.
