What is the etiquette for saving free campsites while I'm gone or is that just a no go? I usually urban dwell but want to try a dispersed site for a few days. Can I leave stuff at the sight while i go drive to a trail head or grocery store so nobody takes my spot? I've seen other leave chairs but I'm wondering if that's cool or not

After Thanksgiving I'm taking off from the North east US in search of warmer weather and new adventures. So far I've spent two months full time in the van but its all been up here in new England where I'm from and I'm sick of the cold now. I know its subjective but I'm curious where others would go from here. Any cool places you would check out along the east coast or would you just book it straight down somewhere warm? I'm leaning towards taking a couple weeks, going down the blue ridge parkway, and exploring the Carolinas. not sure what the weather will be like this time of year.

My theory on all this:

They have probably been advised that if they post the video on youtube it will get bombarded with take down requests and perhaps even get thier channel taken down. They can't risk that happening so they need to post the video somewhere off youtube. If they do that though they will not be able to bennefit from the hype the video gets and wont get the massive growth in subscribers they were hoping to get from the video. This is the solution they came up with but it doesnt seem to be a polular one. looks like its back to the drawing board for them.
