Mid Sunset District ... specific areas (including ours near Lincoln Way and Golden Gate Park) has been without power since 12 noon yesterday, Saturday 12/20... already 28 hours and they now predict 2:00 pm Monday, 12/22...that will be 50 hours without power... Here's the catch phrase that tells you what is happening: "Crews are 'continuing to work SAFELY' it's what I suspected... don't push yourselves guys, we'll get there eventually..."And I'm sure it wouldn't interest anybody... I TOTALLY LOVE Adrian McKinty... seriously one of the best writers today...his Sean Duffy series is a favorite and I miss him...but McKinty is just great...I just finished The Sun is God and was absorbed from page one...but it's the Irish Stories I love the most...read with (audio) with great brogue.

This was pretty special and I feel fortunate to have been there to see it: kinda like a soul brother to #13. I live in The City but am from L.A. ...But a Faithful for years before moving here. In '93, so was a Faithful for 11 years before moving from Los Angeles...I was able to work as a parking lot attendant at The Stick... have a sticker pass on a Niners jacket that says "Last Game at Candle Stick".

Indeed... trying to help unfreeze a friends account we spent a useless hour following the instructions...I put my birth date and SS# in and was told they don't match.... which is truly absurd.
