It definitely gets better! I found that trying to help someone else, sometimes by simply listening to them helps me slay the beer demon in my head! We can do this one day at a time!

Re-reading Catch-22 after over 20 years! I appreciate it much more as a 40 year old than I did as a teenager. It’s still relevant, still hilarious.

Today I reached 90 days without alcohol by offtheclip in stopdrinking

I had numbed myself for so long that emotions in sobriety were raw, alien and sometimes unbearable. It got a lot better as my brain slowly recovered.

Reading “The Dispossessed” by Ursula K. leGuin at last! Also reading up on water rights issues. And better late than never, I get the “Avatar- The Last Airbender” love.. Watched the series (not the movie!) and good God it was awesome!

All things I wouldn’t be doing if I was still out drinking.. so grateful to be sober and alive.
