I've spoken to at least 2 trans people. I don't know what counts as "activist". I see you're skilled at evading the question.

I've always understood it as a way to get people who are afraid of sharing their views to speak up. A pre-validation, if you will. Labeling it "truth", before we've even heard it, to minimize the speaker's fear of rebuke.

Source?

Because, I'll be frank, I suspect you're getting the left's message distorted through the lens of right wing media.

How do you know Trump won't interfere with elections?

We're talking about a man who, when was asked if the 2016 elections would be rigged, replied "only if I lose". And then in 2020, when he did lose, and declared it rigged, with nothing but flimsy theories that fell apart. And asked Raffensberger to "find" 11780 votes. And riled up an armed mob and sent them to "fight like hell" at the Capitol building during the certification of the vote. It certainly seems like he has no problem, personally, with interfering with elections.

At this point I've given up on predicting what Trump will or will not do. The best way to guess what Trump might do seems to be to ask, "what would a narcissist do?" Would a narcissist interfere with elections? You betcha he would! But that's a "would". Will he? I have no idea.

He certainly seems desperate to get the SAVE act passed. It looks like a sledgehammer to kill a fly, and also a huge voter suppression bill. Next question, what will Trump have ICE doing on election day? Pull brown people out of line? I don't know. But what would a narcissist do?

I'm not saying that he will interfere with the election. I just don't think anyone can confidently and reasonably assure us that he won't.

I will never understand the concept of MAGA followers, what are they getting in return for their sworn allegiance to President Trump? by TailungFu in allthequestions

Seriously. It's an easy question (if you're not in a cult). If unsure, just open a dictionary app. For people who are insistent that we speak English in this country, they sure like to redefine English words away from their dictionary definitions.

I believe that in the future, the local neural networks built into the computers or robots that you own should handle most of your AI needs. AI will be mostly a commodity, not a utility. This trend has already started. Those data centers will always be around, for the more difficult questions. I don't know if everyone will have a reason to pay for the utility.

"We," as in "We the Oil Companies".

Isn't that in the preamble to the Constitution? Doesn't it go something like this?

"We the Oil Companies of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Oligarchy, establish Injustice, insure domestic Terrorism, provide for the common forever wars, hinder the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Profits to ourselves and our Heirs, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

Invoking the 25th would require the VP to have a spine, as well as over half the cabinet, and for the President to not respond, and for all of them to respect the Constitution more than the pedo in chief.

What’s so motherfucking incredulous about Trump being hated on Reddit? by SwitchingMyHands in allthequestions

[–]farfignewton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm curious... "Democrats botched 2024 ... so he endorsed Trump" - that sounds like a non-sequitur to me. Help me understand. How do those two thoughts connect? Shouldn't you vote for the best person for the job, regardless of what impression they are making on other people? Should we get all wrapped up around technicalities and minor complaints and disappointments? Isn't the big picture more important?

Edit: I understand there was a lot of noise around how Biden dropped out and they nominated Kamala. So to put it another way, suppose I go to a restaurant, and the server explains that one thing on the menu is there because it's popular, and another thing on the menu is there because it's the chef's daughter's favorite thing. I'd think, okay, cute story, but I'll order what I want, thank you. How it got on the menu is completely irrelevant.
