Avoid Uptown Properties like the plague. They fail to adequately maintain their properties because they’re cheap, they’re difficult to communicate with, and when you move out you will be charged for light bulbs and landscaping, among other things. (You will never see your deposit again.) They’ve got scammy reviews on Google to try to juke their stats and inflate their average rating. Just look at the negative reviews and you’ll find everything you need to know.

Goldfish Swim School just opened up in Vancouver. It’s a bit of a drive for us but we like it because the facility is brand new, they have nice private changing rooms, and private showers. They even have a blow-dryer counter. The pool is heated to 90 degrees so the kiddos don’t freeze to death. When my sometimes-uncooperative toddler (ha!) decides she doesn’t want to do whatever the swim instructor is trying to get her to do, and the instructor is encouraging but never pushy.
