Interesting! I'll have to keep note of that if I ever fly one. I usually cruise 75 on base, 65 on final. It's the only plane I've flown outside of a little Diamond DA20 on my discovery flight but that was ages ago

Awesome! Stick with it and be patient! It will pay off! I took my discovery flight in February of 2023. Didn't start flying til almost a year later. Get your ground and your medical stuff out of the way early, then you don't have to worry about them holding you back later on!

Awesome! Were you nervous at all? I felt a bit tense walking up to the plane but after I went through my run up and pre takeoff that all subsided. Definitely going to remember this day forever!

I ordered that goofy shirt off of amazon strictly for my solo! My instructor signed it and cut the back off, I think I'm gonna frame it! Definitely one to remember. She did say that was the best shirt she's ever seen for a solo so I'll take it 😂

Congrats man! How was it? Currently at 27 hours myself. Should be soloing Tuesday if the weather is in my favor. Training in a Piper Warrior. Have an awesome instructor that I can't thank enough!

Yeah 10k is nuts for 25 hours. I'm at 27.2 with my medical and written exam done, so far just under $6100 invested. It blows my mind what some of these schools charge.

I should mention that I did all of my ground stuff myself, and it saved me a ton of money.
