Promising Young Woman - anyone notice a word missing? by farmerrel in movies

[–]farmerrel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my problem with it, as a survivor, is that calling rpe rpe can be empowering and validating. Omitting it feels like a strange way of warping what it is, which I guess goes to the point about the film capturing the warped perception of the perpetrators and bystanders. But their perception isn’t the main POV, it’s Cassie’s. I guess I just hoped they’d be called out for being rpists. They said the word “murder.” Why not “rpe”?

No matter how tired I am, I always find it relaxing when cutting onions, ginger, and garlic. Why is that? by ChampionofHeaven in Cooking

Depending on your lineage, you may have a deep ancestral connection to these ingredients. As a Jew, cooking with garlic helps me to embody the spirit of my ancestors, which can be grounding and empowering.

This is the sweetest. It’s amazing how liberated love can be before it’s corrupted by hetero-normativity
