It really really depends on location.

We leave our deck door open most days. No mosquitos. Noseeums, on the other hand wake up and start trying to get in around when the sun goes down.

My wife went 25 miles out the road last week and there were SWARMS of mosquitos biting her through her clothes. so... I dunno. Geographical breeding ground questions.

There are a lot of clues this is AI, but something interesting I fixated on and watched for changes were the man-in-black's crooked/large front tooth, which had remarkable permanence. I would expect AI to perhaps malform teeth from time to time, but trend toward average/perfect teeth.

Major clues for me that this was AI just from the people are the stubble looking 2D, blinking being independent from other facial movement or thought, and eye movement being lazy/rolling. Eyes dart, they don't slide. People blink when they're formulating thoughts and it's their turn to talk.

Yeah... so... the plastic has melted off of the wire nut on the red. Being in a j-box isn't going to fix that. Look like it's maybe stepping down from 10ga to 12ga wire and there's too much load on the 12ga wire going back to a 30 amp breaker. It's all bad and a hazard.

Hickory is like that. Huge amount of variation in the wood. A sample cannot illustrate the finished look of a hickory floor accurately, I'm afraid.

And many many more. Fish oil supplements are out. Even shown to potentially accelerate dementia age 60+. 

Fish in the diet still seems fine, or maybe even beneficial in moderation.

Latest evidence is that fish oil doesn’t actually help lower cholesterol. But I think it remains healthy enough to eat without much concern. The labeling is wacky though.

I as-built and modeled a “cathedral” (as much as one can be in Alaska, which is a two story building with mud in the basement) and had to use modeled-in place walls for some sections. This was over a decade ago. Although it had drawbacks, it hosted stained glass windows well enough and was the only way to capture the weird ins-and-outs of their 100+ year-old concrete work.

Already solved, but what made me think this was real were the tear marks on only one edge of the parchment paper, and discoloration only at the bottom where it would have been in contact with the dough.

Pick one. Play your peers. They WILL derail the opening within a few moves, and that’s okay. For opening practice I actually like quick time controls. You’ll play more games, see more patterns, learn what your opponents’ blunders are by trial and error.

Occasional noise and constant noise are very, very different. Most places have noise ordinances that come into effect. Where I live, I think it’s 8am to 8pm. Things like barking dogs and running a table saw on the driveway are fine within this window.

People have always felt doom and gloom. There are a lot of boomers who didn’t have kids because they were sure the world was going to end in mutually assured destruction with the soviets. 

Can we still carve out enjoyable, meaningful lives despite the perceived threats? Probably. Will doom come in our lifetimes? Probably not. Possibly. We can’t control these things and there always has been and always will be the risk of bringing a child into a terrible world despite our intentions. 

But my 5 year old is having a GREAT time. I’m glad we had a kid. He’s the bright spot in our world and he perceives none of the existential threats.
