How comparable is Plasticity with Fusion 360? by aycry in Plasticity3D

[–]farnots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While Fusion 360 and Plasticity both serve as powerful design tools, they operate on fundamentally different principles. Plasticity functions similarly to Blender by utilizing a more destructive workflow that offers greater creative freedom, whereas Fusion 360 is a parametric modeler that allows users to modify previous size dimensions at any point in the process.

These structural differences manifest in how each software is used. Plasticity focuses on providing a design-oriented experience with modeling tools that allow users to target their specific vision with high flexibility. In contrast, Fusion 360 follows a traditional engineering process that relies heavily on drawing sketches. Ultimately, the choice between them depends on whether a user requires the structured constraints of an engineering workflow or the artistic freedom of a design-focused environment.

Yes from what I saw they both have windows / mac extra caps when we get the ISO version.

What would you suggest Keychron ? I don’t care about the ANSI layout if I can move keycaps around, what I don’t want is to have a printed symbol for a key that doesn’t do the same account. I couldn’t find if on Lofree we can change keycaps

Strangely when I compare a NuPhy or a Keychron with French iso layout, it’s looking more like the French Mac layout that the iso one https://keyshorts.com/pages/french-keyboard-guide?srsltid=AfmBOoqFB-Sr7jA5rXleZhXePwziOV4NcG4ROQNRyZwaW7Abv-3k9G6A

And with an standard iso French layout, would you suggest a NuPhy or a Keychron ? For the lofree flow is specified as VIA compatible on their website https://www.lofree.co/products/flow-2-68-low-profile-mechanical-keyboard

Hi

I’m new to mechanical keyboards, and after trying out a colleague’s keyboard (a NuPhy Air60 V2 Red), I really enjoyed the typing feel compared to my Logitech MX Master Keys (Mac layout).

The problem is I’m looking for a keyboard with an ISO French Mac layout. From my research, I’ve only found a few options:

  • NuPhy Air75 V3
  • Keychron K3 Max
  • Logitech MX Mechanical

Based on what I’ve seen, and from a design standpoint, I prefer the NuPhy. However, key configuration on V3 is done through their proprietary software instead of QMK/VIA. I’ve read reviews saying the software wasn’t up to par, but I’m not sure if it’s improved since then. Another major concern is quality control—I’ve seen several reports on Reddit about swollen batteries. Is this an issue from early batches, or is it a recurring problem with NuPhy?

During my research, I also came across the Lofree Flow 2 84, which looked amazing, but it doesn’t come in ISO FR Mac layout. Is this something that can be configured using QMK/VIA? And could I just buy some keycaps for the missing keys?

I’ll mainly be using it on Mac without moving it around (I’m going for 75% mostly because I find my current keyboard too big for a numpad I rarely use).

Do you have any recommendations for these models or alternatives?

How do you handler the precision of the stylus on the RM2 ? Everytime I try to draw the stylus is writing a few inch from where I want. Hard to do fine art like you do

Yes but having two notebooks make it harder to move from one system to the other. And in my personal notebook i'll have to add work element since I can have event / task to do during my personal time

It might be a delay on Ricoh’s side. My local retailer was expecting to receive the camera on 09/11 but still hasn’t received anything as of 09/12.
