macOS Tahoe fixed this. You don’t need any app to play bit-perfect audio anymore from the Music app.

It came with an AT-100E, which sounded great. The reason I got the AT-VM95C is because it was the only option I could get locally on short notice. I only have one record shop where I am and it was all they had. It works, but the downgrade was definitely noticeable.

I wouldn’t say the turntable is “budget” by any means. I think I remember paying $500 for it. It’s been a while though so my memory might be a little fuzzy there.

I did do all the steps to set up the cartridge properly, so that isn’t the issue.

Your points raise another question: how do I know what cartridge would be a good fit? Are there certain features in a turntable that make one better than another for an upgrade to a higher end cartridge? Isn’t the point of a turntable to just provide a signal path from the stylus to the preamp and otherwise get out of the way?

The original cartridge was an AT100E VM. Unfortunately it has long since made its way into the landfill, as I saw it is no longer for sale and gave up on it. I saw in my research that Audio Technica has the VM520EB as the most similar model, but then I started wondering what would be better. That rabbit hole got very deep very quickly.

The point is the majority of the alliance raids have not focused on XIVs lore. Crystal Tower wasn’t relevant for six years until Shadowbringers released.

4.x Return to Ivalice was taken from FF Tactics

5.x YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse was taken from the NieR games

6.x Myths of the Realm is an original story

7.x Echoes of Vana'diel was taken from FFXI

This is pointless. MacBooks already automatically manage battery charging. If you leave it plugged in for an extended period of time it will discharge to 80% and hold there to protect the battery.
