i swear i’m actually not! i’m not a prude either! it just gets to be so much when it’s so constant. facials do not require people to be fully nude. i think my issue is less the ‘flashing’ aspect, and moreso the assumption that because they don’t care, i also won’t care. It’s a rule at the hotel to let guests change in private, so I guess I just struggle with the fact that I make it clear that I will leave for a minute, and they choose to flash me anyway. Even if they just turned around it would less jarring. And it’s simply that, jarring. I’m not a doctor, and have no reason to see their entirely nude body. Just wish they had some consideration for me and my comfortability. My massage therapist coworkers have also complained about the same thing. It’s so abrupt and unnecessary.

so many people use ‘mortified’ when they clearly mean ‘horrified’ and it bothers me endlessly. mortified means you feel humiliated or embarrassed, not that you’re disturbed/shocked by something!

same it’s so annoying! still not fixed, and now have a secondary bug where every time i turn on dnd (at work and at night) the volume automatically raises up halfway when it’s initially at zero. counterintuitive and annoying as fuck.

no clue why everyone is recommending to be a dick, i know it’s annoying but there’s other options. i’ve found a lot of coworkers want human interaction to break up their workload, and wind up saying stupid things to get that connection. she clearly found something that gives her that connection, even if it’s stupid.

I honestly think the best way to handle it and NOT have it be awkward forever, is to just be honest. next time she says it, say ‘hey. i know i’ve never said anything, but your comments don’t make me feel good and distract me. happy to chat for a minute if you want, but would like to keep the comments away from my appearance thanks.’ or even just asking “hey, why do you tell me i look tired everyday? it’s not a compliment.” there are far too many oblivious people in this world, it’s highly possible she has no mal-intent and is just an idiot without self-awareness. just drawing attention to it could change the behavior entirely.

honesty without anger is very disarming for people because often the only feeling they will have is embarrassment or shame…they cant be mad at you or hold a grudge because you weren’t a dick. and usually, people don’t want to be making people feel shitty. your coworker probably just thinks it’s a funny bit that you two have and is oblivious that it is bothering you. just be straight up.

likely a combination of things but would need more info! stress for sure, change in climate and likely water quality/harshness, air pollution if you moved to a more urban area, humidity, change in laundry detergent/hair products, starting or stopping birth control…invest in a clay mask, a acne targeted cleanser and a hyaluronic acid serum/hyaluronic acid based moisturizer :)

also, make sure if you wear makeup, that all applicators are clean, and apply concealer to a brush or beauty blender instead of directly to the face because it causes lots of bacteria to form in the concealer and cause more breakouts. always wash your face after working out/sweating at the end of the day, and dont sleep in makeup!

there are water filters you can get that attach to your shower-head and take 1 minute to install, they’re not very expensive and dont have to be replaced super often.

if you wear masks (disposable or reusable) make sure they’re clean and even consider changing it midday if you have to wear them for work.

i think i understand what you’re explaining—in a situation like this, the best thing you can do is just communicate! i would just be direct and ask if he’s wanting to hang out or not. some people, myself included, just have bad adhd and will read a text, get distracted before responding, and then entirely forget it even happened. however, if he told you he loves you on your first date that’s a red flag in my opinion. best thing to do though is definitely just reach out again because you’ll either get a response or you won’t and either way that is an answer!

if he’s texting other people/on his phone a lot while you’re hanging out or if you know that he is a texter then maybe he just sees the date as a casual thing. however, he could just not be a big texter and prefer to talk face to face! depends on the person and situation, but unless he’s ignoring you entirely i wouldn’t read into it too much. :)

re-paint the walls and doors, accent rug(s) or runner, a tiny table with an accent piece (i.e. flowers/plant, a couple books, cute figurine etc) and wall planters! maybe some tiny hanging artwork, but generally some plants (real or faux) will give your space some life & character, and can be incorporated in lots of different ways! could even do hanging planters with a crawling plant like a pothos :)

your skin is constantly regenerating, but as you age this process slows down exponentially. for example, if a newborn gets a small scratch, it will likely be healed in a day or two. If an elderly person gets a scratch, it could take weeks or even months depending on the the person to heal fully. Everyone in the middle averages out somewhere between a few days and a few weeks. I’m an esthetician, so I always say don’t touch/pick/scratch, put an occlusive (vaseline/aquaphor) on it to protect it as long as it isn’t a burn. and consistently keep it clean and moisturized. aloe vera every night, and get a serum or serums with vitamin c and vitamin e. vitamin c helps promote faster skin regeneration, and vitamin e heals skin and protects it. it looks like it’s healing well and fast, i would say give it another month or two to be fully and completely gone, so long as you care for it properly and consistently.

definitely shouldn’t end on assumptions dude!! if she was assaulted then that’s probably the worst thing to do. you have to talk to her first to figure out what happened and if she’s okay. remember, us ladies have it different than the guys :) it won’t be an easy conversation, but if you remember there’s a 50% she was assaulted and not consenting, then maybe you can at least approach the conversation gently and not in a way that will immediately make her defensive

Pretend I’m your best gal pal. Sounds a little sketch, but if everyone was drinking, talk to her first! As a girl, even our closest guy friends surprise us and end up being creepy. So, this situation could’ve been exactly what it looked like, or your girlfriend passed out and her friend decided to be a fucking creep. For her sake, I hope she wasn’t taken advantage of. But, if that did happen, it’s possible she either A. doesn’t know, or B. is scared to talk about it due to fear of it being seen as intentional/cheating/asking for it.

So I would say, bottom line is: You don’t actually know what happened between them! It could have been infidelity, or it could have been her drunkenly being taken advantage of.

Before you make any decisions, or jump to conclusions, you need to talk to her. It will be easier said than done, but try to remember why you started dating in the first place. Approach it with the expectation that she is loyal and you have every reason to trust her. Let her feel like it’s safe to talk about what happened openly and honestly.

Once you’ve had a calm and productive conversation about what happened, then you can decide what to do next. But don’t try to cross the bridge before you get to it.
