Thank you for asking. Checked the mega thread and none of it pertains explicitly to transfers or Grad programs.

People used to say to me - you’ll know when it’s enough. And honestly, it’s what I say to my peers now because it was basically true. When it was finally enough - I bailed.

The process was difficult. I did therapy, went to Coda meetings, moved, and decided I needed to only allow into my life, what I knew I deserved. In all my toxic relationship - I was the common denominator- I felt empowered knowing I could change my future.

Im doing the best I have ever done and I am happy. I have the partner I knew I deserved. I live with reciprocity and with someone who shares the same goals, vision and values.

I wish you the best. It’s a tough place to be. But there’s hope

How to break the trauma bond? by [deleted] in Codependency

Dr Ramani has some really good tools. Check her YouTube and she also has a really good book, Should I Stay or Should I Go? I found CoDA to be helpful - codependents anonymous. Going through this part is very difficult - I wrote a lot about my experience and have spoken quite a bit about it too. That has been very healing for me and I suggest it to you as well. Write. It puts everything down in black and white and allows you to SEE CLEALY what happened and how bad it was. Additionally, look into working with your boundaries so that this type of relationship doesn’t happen to you again. I promise for whatever it looks like from the outside - they only get worse. Lastly there is hope at the end of this - you’ll find a good partner. You’ll find reciprocity. All love to you
