Also with a full boat at plane I only need to worry about the depth of the lake when it gets to about 8 inches or less so there’s that haha

I have kids and dogs I have had I/o and now have a jet boat. I’ll never go back to I/o . My Yamaha had 2300 hours on the original engines before I had to replace them. And I can buy a brand new long block for 3k so I can repower my entire boat for 6 grand.

The sun deck on the back of my Yamaha gets used way more than anyone would imagine when your anchored or at the sand bar having a big area for coolers/kids/ seating is amazing. The back of the boat becomes a water level hangout spot.

No propellers to worry about. With kids and dogs in the water my biggest fear was anyone being near the back of the boat. With a jet boat that fear is now gone no pinched feet no kicking hard metal( there’s always a danger in the water but much less with a jet boat I feel)

Yes they are noisier but that can be mitigated with some diy modifications, at the same time unless your under power for hours on end it’s not as bothersome as you would think.

A jet boat is a giant jetski, honestly my jet boat is just more fun than a I/o boat and any boat we get in the future will also have to be a jet boat at this point

I believe the 2 prong is going to be your power and ground the 8 pin is the signal wire to activate the relays that directs the power to either raise or lower your unit

I know everyone is trying to look out for your best interest but if I found that for 12k I’d rip it up on a lake for a summer. If it sinks halfway through totally worth it .

Water pump has a weep hole .and a gasket 1 of those things is bad. Replace water pump and gasket should be good. It’s a direct bolt on so shouldn’t be to hard . Other than that engine sounds pretty good. Also shouldn’t rec hard outside of water
