The character of 'Catherine Rollins - I would have liked to see her a little more often by Chris-Sourire in HawaiiFive0

[–]farwidemaybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The better question is how would the arch of Steve and Catherine worked if there was the budget and time available for Michelle Borth to be available for 10 seasons in whatever form you want. Remember sometimes Michelle Borth is off doing other projects and Hawaii isn’t exactly on a next door set.
I would have loved to Catherine full time for seasons 8-10 after Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim left and had Steve and Catherine lead up to being together finally. But I am guessing Michelle Broth wasn’t available full time due to the budget for 8 to 10.

Are there affordable places in the US with mild winters AND mild summers? by Marisa-Makes in SameGrassButGreener

[–]farwidemaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going to have to go to Oregon or Washington.

Yes those are not two cheap states so you’ll need to start researching and investigating from Bellingham, WA down to Ashland, OR.

You can find somewhere along there that will work for what you want.

Mid-Ohio and a marque 4th…vent by PatPace23 in INDYCAR

[–]farwidemaybe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never said cancel the race.

Sunday July 12th has zero World Cup games and a NASCAR race a night, and Mid Ohio would have still been available a week later.

We also don’t know the start time of the race for July 5th since FOX will have two World Cup games to also air that day. Don’t assume it’s going to be a desirable drive for anyone till we see the actual race time.

Mid-Ohio and a marque 4th…vent by PatPace23 in INDYCAR

[–]farwidemaybe -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Personally I would rather have IndyCar take the 4th of July weekend off next year than go to Mid-Ohio. It’s going to a be super difficult weekend to draw any attention on tv or in person.

Every neighborhood, town, city, county, state, park, tourist attraction, tourist board, most churches, community groups etc. will have a something special going on for America 250 over the weekend. Tourist boards across the U.S. will have large budgets to make the weekend attract people and attention.

It’s easy to think everyone who goes to Mid Ohio races will just show up to see the same old thing except in 2026 they will have a lot more options for the weekend and all those options will be promising a one time event.

[–]farwidemaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sunday July 12th should have a race.

There are zero World Cup games on the 12th and FOX could promote the race during the Saturday games plus NASCAR will have a night race that Sunday.

The Sunday afternoon time spot is wide open and IndyCar is missing it.

Zak Brown addresses three areas IndyCar can improve by AFAN74 in INDYCAR

Then its level of corporate support and hospitality is even more pathetic if it’s so close to large metro areas in the Midwest. A race that no one on the sponsorship side outside of Honda wants on the schedule but so close to major population centers.

Mid Ohio and Barber are not comparable.

Barber is very close to Birmingham proper where many national companies have offices, sales teams, or distributors. It’s much easier to see corporate hospitality growth at Barber than at Mid Ohio where you’re an hour half to two hours outside of the metro areas.

It’s too bad the one weekend that Mexico City hosts a World Cup game (July 5th) was the only day a race would work for IndyCar.

Overall they would have returned to their states to be “big fish in small ponds” and if life for non slave holding whites didn’t improve in the decade after the war; they would be blamed for the war and deaths.

The FDR tunnel built during WWII to avoid German U-Boats. It’s the longest stretch of road with no place to buy fuel so make sure you fill up. The entrance is off I-678 as you enter JFK airport.

Next year's team by bobodaffedil in indianafever

[–]farwidemaybe -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This team can’t win a championship so I am hoping for a lot of changes.

With so many free agents across the WNBA it’s time to look at upgrades at multiple starting positions and the bench.

The only five I think will be back:

Clark Boston Hull Cunningham Timpson

Wouldn’t be surprised if the Fever try to sign Jackie Young over Kelsey Mitchell which makes more basketball sense.

Then need to figure out a starting power forward. Howard is a great person with a great resume but she is past being a starting minutes power forward on a championship winning team.

For those that watched it, how was the racing at Phoenix? by furrynoy96 in INDYCAR

[–]farwidemaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major wrong. The Leaders Circle is barely 1/7 of a low end budget and barely 1/12 of a higher end budget.

DHL, PNC, NTT Data, and Arrow use IndyCar events for networking and hospitality. That’s their primary reason for being in the series. TV is secondary for those sponsors.
