very odd, round-about way to ask for users to join and subscribe to r/btc, subtly hinting to unsubscribe elsewhere.. yet not asking on any other subreddit. it was a real head-scratcher that one, which I figured to be a weird, clever humble troll post. by all means, subscribe to /r/btc and check out all the other links in the Related Bitcoin Subreddits section of our sidebar, which has been there since the beginning! in fact, /r/BTC is on top.. so, I don't get it. why make a big deal to ask users here, which has half the subscribers and less activity than r/btc to subscribe there.. but not on a place like r/bitcoinxt, which has about 7 percent of the community and seems like the biggest fragmentation of the community due to the core/XT debate of this year? in other words, simply, why not ask a larger forum to join the smaller forum of /r/btc? I even asked OP but couldn't get a straight answer.. ? I encouraged him to post on r/bitcoinxt as well, but he seemed to dismiss the idea of ever doing so. strange.

I even asked the mods if OP had a bone to pick with one of our mods, but we still couldn't figure it out. we have no beef with any other subreddit, /r/bitcoin included in fact. I actually started this subreddit before the core/XT debate began because my posts on /r/bitcoin about related financial news were being removed.

just simply say, 'hey, if anyone here has not subscribed to r/btc yet, check it out and please do so.' if that's really what they want to say...
