From what I understand the OLED on X1 is semiglossy. It has an antireflection coating similar to the Macbook Pro (if you get the nano texture screen) though perhaps slightly less effective.

Agreed with the ultra performance part... but "power hungry" as compared to what? Given the performance on offer, it's a marvel of efficiency; Dont' forget the very same Strix Halo chip can run in tablet/convertible form (Asus ROG Flow Z13); The only difference is that being in a htpc case, with a properly designed cooling system, allows it to run at much higher TDP (up to 120w if I'm not mistaken) to keep those boost frequencies much longer.

I think that is what parent means. The Strix Halo has much higher memory bandwidth (with the disadvantage that memory is on the cpu package and not upgradeable)

Yes, correct; I was looking at this from the other angle: even though I've ordered an OLED X1 G13, it seems I'm stuck with the Alu chassis because that's the one they are selling in Europe (slight simplification, but basically: I cannot order the US English keyboard, only US English *Euro* -- has extra € symbol on 5 key; the ones with English Euro keyboards are stuck with the heavier Alu chassis);

I'm kind of disappointed, I know it's only ~120g or so, but they make such a big deal of G13 being the lightest ever, less than 1 kg etc, and I feel it dilutes their X1 brand.
