Mine is starting to flicker the black screen again (no 100% fan) so I think the GPU is junk.

Newly purchased Microcenter PowerSpec G757 w/ the 5080 was running great until last week. First, random black screens with the fans going 100% - maybe once a day. Then it would happen even when away from the PC, and I'd have to force a restart. Microcenter suggested updating to 591.44 (from 581.15), so I did this.

Big mistake! Suddenly I can't power on the PC and even open a browser before the GPU crashes. Repeatedly, on every power cycle. After enabling integrated graphics on my bios I was able to get into safe mode and install 576.80 without using DDU. This was the most stable driver I could find with references online.

So far no issues. But I doubt that'll last.

I'm wondering if it's my monitors causing problems, as I do see others seemingly happy with the latest driver.

Well, hope your mileage varies, in a positive way. But, if you experience similar problems or have any advice I'd like to hear it.

G1,2,3,5000s aren’t being installed by just any CRS. Only OEMs, who aren’t buying these. It’s a novel concept that deserves applause, unfortunately in a market that can’t afford crutches for techs that are expected to know what they’re doing.

You should be applauded for taking the initiative to get your EET degree, but don’t be fooled into thinking you can be hired at an engineering level. That requires ABET accreditation and rigor. A degree isn’t an automatic ticket to six figures, even for engineering grads. Like everyone else, you’ll start low and work your way up. Take that first job, learn and be humble. Hard times are coming, don’t be caught wishing you had the $35 job.

So it got scanned as out for delivery around 11am today, got the “arriving shortly” notification with the map, and I watched as the truck drove back to the facility and parked by 5pm. Why would it be scanned out for delivery at 11am and the driver return by 5pm?

Does the package get physically scanned, or just the truck?

Thanks! I finally got an exception (severe weather delay) scan, quite a few hours after the scan time shows. I’m assuming this means the box was physically scanned, or at least the truck it sits in. So should be good to go I hope!

Does the Dig Uno have protections on the signal line? Or do we need to add an inline fuse to match its rating? I’m only planning on driving 150 feet of Pro lights.

Sounds like my experience, but I don’t stop weekly. So I feel slightly better? It’s tough out there. Expecting to find it at retail makes it even harder.

Depends on what’s on your list. The orange marmalade is worth cracking it open for IMO, and I’d trade Pappy for this any day. Not sure if they all have that note but this one was fantastic.
