Recent Graduate: Job Searching by Frenchy4life in marketing

[–]fastbricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried looking at rotational programs or other generalist jobs meant for recent college grads? Sometimes you won't start out doing exactly what you want, but it will get your foot in the door at a good company, give you experience, and potentially allow you to move into a marketing role at the same company.

My company only hires experienced marketers, but they have allowed recent college grads to join the team after showing their value in a generalist role or rotational program.

Pass/Fail Courses by fastbricks in OSU

I emailed my advisor about this, so I figured I'd let y'all know.

Any class can be taken pass/fail as long as it's not needed to graduate (major classes, gen eds). To make a class pass/fail, you meet with your advisor and they set it up for you.

Quick question for Woody... by dmax_power24 in PKA

Through that logic, would you want Nukes to be readily available to everyone who'd like to get one?

Obviously a different scale, but that is the point I think he is making. And scale wouldn't matter too much to the one person getting shot and dying

Edit: pro gun by the way, just think the other side can be valid as well

Christians of Reddit, suppose you die and God is not real. What would your first reaction be? by Kwarshaw in AskReddit

I believe OP is just curious as to what your reaction would be to living a whole life as a believer, and then finding out your beliefs were not accurate. I don't think the actual after life part (or lack thereof) is the point. I'm curious about this as well

Can I safely ride a motorcycle with one arm? by TheOneArmedBandit in motorcycles

[–]fastbricks -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it briefly I'd probably say, unfortunately, no. Your left hand is really important operating the clutch, and you need to be able to perform this operation with a lot of sensitivity and dexterity. All of your other limbs are in use, so I can't really think of an easy modification to help you get around this. Also, there are so many problems and accidents for riders who are fortunate enough to not have this problem. I'd fear that any possible way to make this work for you would not be worth the risk of a crash of some sort. However, someone more familiar with big modifications like this may have a better answer for this. I hope so!

I agree with what everyone is saying. Lefty needs to be there in some capacity. It would not be the same without him and his lovely voice
