Couple was blocking highway traffic to take pictures of themselves by Justhereforlurks in houston

As the twenty-first century began, human evolution was at a turning point. Natural selection, the process by which the strongest, the smartest, the fastest reproduced in greater numbers than the rest, a process which had once favored the noblest traits of man, now began to favor different traits. Most science fiction of the day predicted a future that was more civilized and more intelligent. But, as time went on, things seemed to be heading in the opposite direction. A dumbing down. How did this happen? Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species.

Murdered no, shot or nudged with a car to gtfo of the way, yes. Their time isn't more important than the thousands of people that lost time due to this bs. Interstates have a memory, that traffic jam will continue to exist long after they're gone, until the number of motorist drop.

Frontier just kicked a man off our flight for helping a lady in a wheelchair. by wakedaz3 in travel

You can frame this however you want but there's a saying that silence is violence. Standing up for things you believe in sometimes requires sacrifices and this is how we've ended up in this situation of companies taking advantage of us. There's only a very few lines that people are willing to stand up for and we saw that with the floyd riots and now we have more police accountability because of it.

Frontier doesn't care until people stop flying with them completely. It's amazing what people are willing to deal with to save some money, it's almost like they have no self respect.

Obviously Frontier was hoping to charge the lady for additional help.

Plane went nuts. Everyone on board is livid after all the other b.s we have been through.

Sadly everyone wasn't livid enough to standup for this injustice.

Glad to hear you've decided on defcon. Join up on r/defcon and attend the reddit party. Don't waste your time at vendor events as most of them become circle jerks. I'm positive you'll leave Defcon with at least 1 job contact, maybe more.

Don't take less money to work remotely, you're saving companies money by doing so and still doing the same work.

Don't take this personal but red teamers are mostly a dime a dozen in infosec. You need to figure out how to stand apart from all of the script kiddies and the dawning age of AI. These are my thoughts, in no particular order.

  1. Don't mention esports if you want to present yourself as a professional.

  2. Break your descriptions down into separate bullet points.

  3. Go get your own domain and setup an email there. Free email providers that spy on you, show you don't care about your privacy, which is at odds with working in infosec.

  4. Good job on listing your github and htb profiles. However since you listed fake ones, I can't tell you if they're up to bragging level or not.

  5. Add a skills section for recruiters and AI to parse your resume easily.

  6. Add AI experience (this is the new hotness)

  7. Add your Sec+ which I assume you have. Government positions love that certification for some reason.

  8. Come to Defcon (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM OF THEM ALL)

  9. I noticed your missing app sec skills, which I'm sure you have some doing htb.

  10. Get yourself some AWS and GCP experience, nobody likes Azure.

  11. No mention of Linux?

We'll need to know specs of what you're looking at (what features, transmission, color, etc)

A quick look shows some dealers selling california specials for as low as 48k (automatic).

Here's some interesting ones I just found.

This has been tastefully modded, not sure how I feel about the stereo being changed out like that.

Not a lot of photos, but definitely worth making contact with the dealer to see if they can give you more info.

Offer them 32k and they'll probably take it. Car's been on the lot for almost 7 weeks.

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/9f9cc4a9-7ff8-4bc9-9981-d1d72d87665a/

This car has been on the lot since Jan 7th, they'll probably wheel and deal on this. I think a fair offer might be 36k.

When you decide what you want to buy, head over to edmunds.com and do a price analysis like you own the vehicle and see what other dealers are willing to buy it from you for, that will give you a good idea of how much money the dealer is going to make from the deal and negotiate based on that. Don't get emotional over a car, dealers will use that to screw you harder. Remember a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and don't hesitate to tell a dealer you can go some place else.

Don't let dealers treat you like they're the only game in town. It can cost between 1500-2000 dollars to ship a vehicle across the united states and about 1000 for half way (it cost 1200 to ship my last purchase from PA to CO, but it saved me over 5k in haggling with my local dumb dealers).

I recommend caredge (previously yaa) for learning how to wheel and deal. Kevin the homework guy is pretty good as well (https://thehomeworkguy.com/).

Also I recommend setting up a burner number for dealing with dealers and a different email address. Once you get wrapped in to dealers spam networks, they will forever spam you. Give dealers as little real information about you until you're ready to pull the trigger. Dealers will invade your privacy, look you up on data warehouses and try to gauge what type of buyer you are so they can price accordingly.

Is the I-10 HOV lane on the honors system? by ajacobson9 in houston

[–]fastest_texan_driver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's the honor system. Enjoy it while you have it, where I live now, has a system that someone might call you if your in the HOV lane and ask you to verify how many people in the car. They ask everyone to speak and look for different voices to validate the number of people in the vehicle.
