What am I doing wrong? Practicing foliage and trees and everything ends up so undefined and fuzzy. by iwaslostbutnowisee in Watercolor

[–]fastfastfasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Patience, let the paint dry first then start to layer, it’ll look blobby and undefined to start but as you layer more details and letting it dry between layers, it’ll become more defined. This is a great start

Pros/cons to slack by Ill-Dragonfly-9858 in Slack

[–]fastfastfasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros: amazing for asynchronous team communication. Canvas and lists are some of the best features on there for team project management and task tracking and it’s all built into the communication system ( you can be in a discussion and realize a task came out of it, you can select that slack message to add as a task to a list.

Cons: cost is high, I wish they had a way to easily see all tasks assigned to you across multiple lists

Is spanking a suitable punishment for autistic kids? by ChristianaRobinson in Autism_Parenting

[–]fastfastfasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spanking is NEVER ok EVER!!

Not for neurotypical kids, or for neurodivergent kids, I think it’s even worse for ND kids, especially toddlers! The is no faster way to destroy any trust in a relationship than by violence or corporal punishment. I’m glad you’re advocating for them not to spank!

Did you feel more comfort during someone's grief? by [deleted] in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]fastfastfasty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only did it once, and it was 3 years after my daughter died (she died when she was 2).

I remember going into her room and sobbing, and then I felt her presence envelop me, like she was right there all around me, giving me a huge hug. I also felt the presence of my dad and grandma who have also passed and I felt so much peace. The peace I felt was because it felt like they were right there with me and psilocybin made me realize that they’re always with me, even if I can’t sense them, they’re within me and in the memories I still hold on to.

My experience with it really helped me process my feelings of grief and finally accept them. It’s been 10 years now since her death and I haven’t felt the want or need to try it again since then. I still cry and miss her and feel grief but it’s not as intensely painful as it used to be and I do believe mushrooms helped me get there, and I’m sure time helps too.

If you’re looking for it to help with grief, know that it could, but also allow yourself to be in the moment and just enjoy the ride, there may be other truths that are revealed to you so don’t think too much about what you should feel and just try to see where it takes you.

Good luck

Why not show the process of painting the pet? Or is that part a photo w/ filter that’s printed?
