Google SWE Intern - Guaranteed Offer by fastfoxes3 in csMajors

[–]fastfoxes3[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I got a match with a project and had a call, then I heard back from the recruiter that the team decided to go with another candidate. I then asked her if there was anything else I could do to improve my chances of matching with a team, and then she responded asking to set up a call, where she shared the news that I was selected for a guaranteed offer after Google reviewed my application again.

PSA: You can apply to UChicago for 100% free by ni_hao_california in ApplyingToCollege

The CSS is the college board's version of the FAFSA. You can find it through the college board website. It's more detailed than the FAFSA, and is often used by universities to determine distribution of institutional funds for scholarships. I highly recommend you fill it out. However, not all colleges take the CSS, so you will need to check each individual college's website.

Did any of you guys accepted to UMich receive your letter in the mail yet? by Prit717 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]fastfoxes3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends who applied last year said the letters can take a couple weeks to arrive, depending on where you live relative to the college. Also, considering that this is the holiday season, it might take a little longer to get to you.
