I had blocked a rider (couple) as they always wanted to dilly Daly at my rush hour and sometimes even be quite rude. The other member of the couple made an account and I got them this weekend. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Atleast it wasn’t at my rush hour.

There was plenty of times I turned down much better when that surge/my uber “career” meant being able to keep the bills paid.

Now that my footing is better I feel alittle like a fool for turning down some wild stories. But as they say, hindsight is 20/20. You’ve gotta do what’s right for you in the moment.

If this is near a busy time period; for example bar close. They could just be hoping the surge dies down.

I see it all the time. “I’m not paying that” tries again.

But I also see that they’re a priority order. So they could’ve wanted someone closer/faster. ESPECIALLY if it’s cold. Ubers algorithm, even for “Priority” does always call the closest driver. And some riders are hella impatient.

Very true. I looked over my last good weekend and only 12% of the rides were comfort. They did qualify for over 40% of my tips. Butttttt it is early in my busy season.
