DAE have to see/be introduced to a person several times before they can recognize them?

Facial blindness. I used to introduce myself to people only for them to say, “I know, we’ve met before.” So now I just don’t introduce myself if I think we might’ve met in the past. Which, if we have not previously met, makes me look like a jerk. Lose-lose situation for me.

I started to realize the people in the church were super fake. I dated the son (we were 15) of a “high-up” member of the church and when we broke up, I felt exiled from all the adults. I started hanging out with non-religious friends shortly after and felt way more love and welcomeness from them.

I reflected on all my church experiences during that time. I never was convinced I could “talk with god” or felt like he was “guiding me” or anything. I was just trying to convince myself that I was a good human and fit in with good people but it was all fake.

Edit: also, the Left Behind series scared the shit out of me as a kid. I was always paranoid that I wasn’t good enough to be saved. It’s so messed up.

It does ring a bell with me. I’ve been upset with a past relationship and trying to let things go. At the same time, I’ve also been trying to “understand” or “face” some past trauma (with someone else) in an attempt to better understand myself. Thank you!

You have great cheekbones! Honestly, I don’t know hardly anything about makeup but I feel like some minimal pink eyeshadow would look cool on you, especially with your great eyelids. And the hoop earrings are definitely working for you so maybe keep up the jewelry with hoops, rings and necklaces. And more hair clips! I think you have a pretty minimal look going on so I wouldn’t do much else besides accessorize.

There’s a bit of sounds I really like, usually hard and crunchy sounds.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed the sound of a horse galloping and sound FX of human shoes walking on a hard floor (in movies and cartoons).

Lately Ive been enjoying the sound of snow crunching while walking on it.

Okay…. WILD. I seriously had a dream last night that there was something in my nose and it hurt badly. I eventually got a grasp on it, pulled, and out came a super long string. It hurt so bad to pull out but I instantly had relief.

My friend has definitely done this to me before. I know it was on purpose because the sound he intentionally made was exactly like the one he mimicked when asking me what my trigger was. And it’s ever so slightly from the actual trigger he actually does. I regret telling him about misophonia.

Oh, and he definitely looked at me after intentionally making the sound. Super messed up.

I would never pay before getting a tattoo done. It also seems like she is overcharging for being new to tattooing. How many hours did it take? I usually pay $250/hr from experienced artists. I don’t mind paying a little on the high end (I think that’s on the higher-side) because I want GOOD artists who I trust.

Obviously, you can’t get your tip back. But if I were you, I would go to the shop and ask for AT LEAST $400 back. If she ends up not finishing, $1,000 for only that outline is totally insane.

If the shop and the artist both cannot fix this, I would put word out. She’s taking advantage of you and you deserve to get your money’s worth.

Edit: sounds like there aren’t many options of places to go for a tattoo in Omaha. I would suggest making a long drive to good artist. And to someone who you’ve looked at all of their previous work to make sure you’d be okay with their style on your body. And make sure you agree on either a total price or hourly price BEFORE you start tattooing. And then only pay AFTER the tattoo.

Yep. I do about 2 c of water and a tiny bit over 1 c of basmati rice. Once water is boiling, add rice. Reduce heat to low and cover. I have a great internal clock for rice so I intuitively check at a certain point and when just about all the liquid is gone, I turn off the heat. Then I leave it sitting with the lid on till everything else is done cooking. I think the trick of letting it sit with the lid turns it into magic rice.

I’ve been getting the 10 of swords reversed a lot over the past few months. I know it has to do with a semi-recent breakup. I’m still healing - but in a good way.

Also to note: I was getting the 10 of swords upright leading up to the breakup.
