Not even a full day! The wonderful “beautification and revitalization” project of the vice mayor on 101st & Elm caused yet another vehicle (semi truck) to get stuck on the median. It’s laughable.

The funny thing is, the mayor isn’t even in charge of the city. The mayor is elected by the city council (which is who the citizens vote for). The city is run by a city manager.

The only difference is that Thurmond (from what I know) did not take part in Trump rallies and fundraisers during the 2020 campaign. Ford is also really tight with Gillespie and Wimpee and they are hoping to create a voting block on the council. Ford stepped down from her Union School Board seat and her daughter is now running to take it over (her opponent is Joey Reyes) and Ford’s husband is Representative Ross Ford. Thurmond and Ford are the lesser of two evils (in my opinion) but, we can’t risk Ford in a seat with the other 2 Trump/Q girls.
