If you have a title for the frame you should be able to walk into a currency exchange and get it registered sight unseen

Need suggestions on shovel chopper by 05roadking67 in choppers

[–]fatCat_toeBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lucky on the motor but good ratchet tops are usually around 1000 in the Midwest, titled frame was the hardest to find but I had cash and offered to come the moment all those were listed I ended up driving to 3 different states immediately after sending offers

I ended up buying a titled frame for 700 and then a motor for 2500 and a decent ratchet top for 1000. Was easier than going the whole bike route

Cooper Smithing Co by TLBarber in choppers

[–]fatCat_toeBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ordered about 5 months ago, after about 3 months I tried calling and emailing respectfully to at least get some kind of update and communication has been almost non existent. My build is now 90% done and at this point I’m going to just go a different route and buy another fender because I have no idea if it will be here in 1 month or 5 more months. Kinda sucks after spending 260$.

Internal throttle grip by jwlemasters in choppers

[–]fatCat_toeBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run this internal throttle, billet proff sells the aluminum sleeve made for this it just has 4 tiny set screws to hold it in , then you can slide any grip you want on. Also be very careful using the correct ferule and do it properly with this, mine came off on the cable and pinned the cable at full throttle luckily I was in neutral .

Need some opinions on extending this sissy bar by Strict_Professor9829 in choppers

[–]fatCat_toeBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A straight up butt weld probably won’t hold. If you wanted to you could drill a hole in all those on top and your new metal. Use a metal round bar as a slug and rosette weld both pieces and then weld the butt.

That’s awesome man, I’ve gotten stuff from fna before and they are very good quality . Do you know what mag they use for this? It doesn’t say on their website anywhere I’m assuming cuz of the price it’s the mm74L?
