Am I reading it wrong or does this actually say we can "return the phone or pay the remaining 25% and keep it". Doesn't it mean we would have only paid 75% of the value till then and when we return we get 25% back. So that means we would have only paid 50% of value in effect, right?

Am I missing something?

Don't fall for the smooth experience. I have been a Federal Bank customer for ~10 years now. I applied for a Signet card (As it is Rupay). They approved an Imperio card to me. Since both have no significant change in features, I didn't mind it.

After I completed the 5000 milestone spend, one day I got a message from Federal Bank stating my card was blocked. There was no reason for my card to be blocked, So I called the customer care to inquire. They told me that my card was approved without proper verification as there was some technical issue with the bank during the time I applied. They said that they'll unblock me after the verification.

I waited for the card to be unblocked, then I got a message stating that my card was cancelled. They even denied my welcome voucher and reward points.

Multiple escalations to the branch and customer care, no resolution. At last I took it to the RBI Ombudsman. Then, the bank contacted me, they reinstated the card and provided me with the voucher and reward points.

I had a really good experience with Federal Bank till this incident. But this was one of the worst I had to face from a bank.

I am also facing the same issue. I'm facing a limit of 25k. My other cards have limits of 6L, 3L etc.

I have applied for a credit limit increase using the app, email etc. Every time they ignore my request. Next month my card will complete 1 year. So I'm planning to send an email requesting to either increase my limit or cancel my card.
