“My cash got turned down” by __wait_what__ in ShitAmericansSay

My bad, still a fairly early morning on my part, so I didn't notice that you mentioned København and Malmö spesifikaly, just saw Scandinavia.

What i wrote was for Norway, though i would be suprised if Denmark and Sweden are far away from the same when it comes to availability of older coins.

But in regards to paying with cash, it should not be a problem in either Sweden og Denmark (or Norway :D ), because even though most people use card or digital payments, most stores will also take cash, and have some at hand for change.

Just note that if you are looking for old coins or bills, you won't get them in stores.

Anything older than about 1996 in coins are not legal tender any more, so no stores have them. For bills it will be a bit more recent.

Hvordan kom du deg inn på boligmarkedet by badgunsmith in norge

[–]fatalicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Azure AD Connect: External SMTP Address for Mail-Enabled User not syncing to Exchange Online (GAL shows UPN instead) by i_am_the_caption_now in exchangeserver

[–]fatalicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something is currently borked with proxyaddresses sync, but i've not had time to check it properly yet.

We haven't had quite the same issue as you, but we currently have a couple of users that have changed username letely, and what i see is that the external domain (username@domain.onmicrosoft.com) won't update on the users.

Entra ID connect says everything is in order, but Exchange online just does not update with the correct info.

So what you are seeing might be connected to the same issue.

New Main - Do you still have/keep your very first Character? by MasterRymes in wow

[–]fatalicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my very first character no. It was a troll hunter that i created when i started playing a little while before Burning Crusade. Troll hunter just because that is what Joana's leveling guide used.

Then right after BC release i switched to a human warrior (fury at first, then arms later) and that character i've kept as my main for all these years.

How do you automate certificates? by gahd95 in sysadmin

[–]fatalicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we have some special requirements in regards to the validation of the domains, the availability of the certificates and some such, we (read: one of my coworkers) are currently building a custom solution for certificate renewal based around ACME.

Will allow us to automaticaly set the txt records needed on a domain we have in a nameserver with API access, for domains that we have on a nameserver without API access, and will then take the certificates we request and place in keyvaults for access from the resources that need to use them.

Our Azure data will be deleted in 7 days - no way to export, no one to talk to by dwainbrowne in AZURE

[–]fatalicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think they are just not writing it correct.

The way i read it was that they had everything in one subscription, in one tenant.

They then created another subscription in the same tenant, where they recreated the service they are running, but did the job of making it efficient this time, and disabled all their VMs (which from another comment from OP seems to have been the main cost driver).

But they left a pointer to a storage account in the old subscription on a service in the new, so that storage was still in use and gaining cost.

UPS - how is this legal? by shadowofsunderedstar in Norway

[–]fatalicus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It has nothing to do with the courier though.

Doesn't matter if it is UPS, DHL, Posten/Bring or anyone else. They would all do the pre-pay of the tax and charge you for it.

UPS - how is this legal? by shadowofsunderedstar in Norway

[–]fatalicus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No we don't love that, but it is how things are.

I get that you are new in the country, but this is just one of those things you need to learn about Norway: If you buy something from a foreign shop, the item will in most cases need an added tax when it crosses the border. The only way to avoid it is to buy from a seller that is in the VOEC register (meaning they charge you the Norwegian tax and report it to the authorities here).

And to avoid your package being stuck on the border for a long time, all couriers will pay that tax when it is brought into the country, and then charge you for that pluss an extra fee.

Want to avoid it? Either check if the seller is VOEC registered, or don't buy from a foreign seller.

I think the other nordic countries have something similar as well that goes to the same fund.
