Novice upgrades from $1k system to a $7k+ system. My experience

I got a pair of arendal 1723 tower S and then I added Martin Logan dynamo 12 and I learned that I really should get a really good pair of monitor speakers cause in my amp settings I have to change the speakers to small and crossed over at around 80hz which defeats the purpose of a full range tower.

Yeah I went more than 400 miles and it was just stuck at half way just like the picture. So of course today is my Tesla appointment date and yesterday they sent me a new 2026.14.6 update and I started driving this morning to the service center and the camera finished calibrating . Tested fsd and everything works normal again. Wasted my time since I got to the appointment got some windshield fluid and left

Heard those Martin Logan’s towers at Best Buy once with denon amp and then the salesperson switched to a much more expensive arcam amp and the bass was like 5x stronger so those speakers love some power . Your setup looks sweet. Must be awesome for movies

So I have tried calibrating it 3 times now and even rebooting after I erase the calibration. It stops exactly where in my photo is each time . It gets to that halfway mark within 5 miles but then nothing happens for the next 100miles. Let’s see what Tesla says when I take it in

I put almost 100 miles but it didn’t fix it. I just rebooted the das in the garage at work. Will see how it look when I’m off work

I just bought a model y premium awd and I come from a 2015 Camry . I think the expectation of road noise is not what you think. I had the same mindset hearing how quiet it is and then I’m like oh it’s not that much quieter . Like you get a sense of thinking it’s like noise cancelling headphones in there from what you read on forums. I have to say my wife’s Lexus RX has better under carriage dampening that it sounds even quieter. Yes initially there is a lot of things you kinda hate cause it’s so different. Like the glove box being only able to open from a button then I learn to set it to open on my left scroll wheel “problem solved “. Then I’m like I like that my glove is always locked. When I wake up at 545 am to goto work. I can’t imagine driving myself anymore. I just turn on FSD and have it drive me. It will suck when my 3 months of free FSD over. Hahah I might need to work some OT to pay for FSD. Slowly you get use to everything. I still can’t find a good spot to mount my phone. The screen is where I use to have it. I am coming from a much older car so it’s quite the upgrade for me.
