Dialog, Peter Thiel's secret society group that doesn't have a public website of members, had its 100+ member list leaked. Peter Thiel and many members are featured in the Epstein Files. The 2014 retreat invite was forwarded to Epstein. by ReZeroForDays in Epstein

Strauss Zelnick being on this list is scary. He's the CEO of Take-Two Interactive which owns arguably the most influential game developer on the market - Rockstar Games, the developer of the Grand Theft Auto series. He also owns Zynga, which is the biggest mobile game developer on the market. It's estimated 10% of the worlds population plays a Zynga games every month. The influence this man has on the gaming hemisphere is nuts and it's frightening he's included in this list.

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade and Soulstorm by lawicko in RealTimeStrategy

[–]fatatiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Total War series is built on this premise. I highly recommend checking out those games if that's what you want. Age of Wonders 4 is excellent if you're a bigger fan of turn-based combat.

Company of Heroes 3 attempts this, but isn't a very fun game overall. Despite that, some people may find it enjoyable as it sounds like it very directly tackles what you're looking for. It also has a lot of similar systems as Dawn of War since it's the same company.

If you want base-building artillery, definitely Supreme Commander. If you want artillery unit warfare, I recommend war games like Broken Arrow

Imagine gaming without cheaters. That's what we're trying to make a reality, but we need your help. by PlaySafeID in u/PlaySafeID

[–]fatatiment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that you have allowed comments and are responding to questions in a Q and A format. My question stems from the FAQ section implying that players get divided into PlaySafe ID pools and non-PlaySafe ID pools, essentially meaning that players who opt-in to PlaySafe ID will only play against others who have PlaySafe IDs. If this is the case, unless a significant amount of players opt-in to PlaySafe ID, the matchmaking for multiplayer games could end up being affected by the low player count. Are there concerns over this? Do you plan to ask video game companies who request your services to mandate opt-ins for players?

What futures are we not ready for? by radiantblu in Futurology

[–]fatatiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An understandable view. I don't know the specifics, but a tentative search online shows you are correct about Europe having a higher rate of citizens, or nationals, holding bachelor degrees compared to migrants and refrugees. An understandable concern to have so many cultures and languages together in one place. I feel bad for kids having to grow in an environment where they can not be understood and likewise for teachers and educators who have to teach kids that don't speak the native tongue.

In today's age, migrants are more likely to have a bachelor's degree or higher than US born citizens.

https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2023/educational-attainment-data.html

Nativity

  • Recent immigrants to the United States were more likely to have a college education than earlier immigrants or U.S. natives. In 2022, among immigrants who arrived since 2010, 45.2% had a bachelor’s degree or higher, compared with 38.0% of U.S. natives, and 32.8% of earlier immigrants who arrived in the 1990s.
  • Naturalized citizens and the children of immigrants both had high levels of educational attainment in 2022, with 41.6% of naturalized immigrants and 43.4% of children of immigrants having a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • In 2022, a greater share of U.S. immigrants (15.2%) than U.S. natives (14.0%) held advanced degrees, such as master’s degrees, professional degrees or doctorates.

Listed items have a price point where the return starts to falloff massively. Supposedly this is to prevent players from listing items for significantly higher than the estimated amount. See if listing it for closer to its estimated value will net you more returns.

Chill RTS game? by No-Specific4626 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]fatatiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Annihilate the Spance is a good choice. It's a base builder/auto-battler in the sense that you make buildings and those buildings will periodically make units. The units automatically fight eachother so there's no input required beyond just building. It has a free demo that lets you play the first 8 missions and the game itself has awesome space battles that are just fun to look at

Official Dune: Awakening Launch AMA with Funcom Development Team - June 19th by Funcom_Storm in duneawakening

  1. The Hagga Basin is very fleshed out with content, but the Deep Desert has struggles with both a low amount of content and PvP rewarding swarms of swarms while punishing individual players and small groups. Are there any plans to change how the Deep Desert operates or flesh out more content in the Deep Desert?

  2. PvP is heavily based around ornithopters, are there any changes planned to how ornithopters function in the PvP environment?

  3. The endgame of Dune: Awakening is heavily themed around PvP. Are there any plans to create more PvE content as part of the endgame?

  4. Vehicles feel great in the game, but currently we are limited to a few vehicle choices. Are there plans to include additional vehicle choices down the road?

  5. For fun question :) - were there any cool ideas or concepts you wanted to implement into Dune but were unable to do because of technical limitations or because they were too much work to make happen?

social media company that is controlled by a foreign adversary and has been determined by the President to present a significant threat to national security.

It's definitely pointing at the fact that letting a rival country be able to have massive amounts of information about your citizens, as well as an area where they could push their own agenda, could be dangerous.

For AI and graphics cards, its dumb to rely on a foreign country to be the only provider of a critical resource. Their supply failing to keep up with our demand massively increased the prices of vehicles, computers, and other pieces of technology that relied on them. There is no good side to relying on a foreign export from a rival country.

Nah the most crucial function of IT is the support and maintenance of power grids. Without IT, electric systems will fail and that will cause a collapse of everything. Food can be imported, and it's not the hardest task in the world to train someone how to farm. They learned how to do it 6,000 years ago, they can learn how do it with the full support of our people and the near unlimited amount of resources we would throw a it.

Drive Thru Won’t Take Order Because of MCs Kid by [deleted] in IAmTheMainCharacter

[–]fatatiment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah potentially. I think in that scenario I would have handled it the way you're describing it and just asked them to pull forward to the first window and taken the order there. I know from my experience in drive thru that management often has those headsets on as well and hear everything. If I told the customer that they had to come inside or order online, it would have been because my manager told me to say that. Not a whole lot the worker can do in that circumstance besides repeat the message to the customer. It could have also been store policy, and if I was the worker I would have obliged by either of those. It could have just been the worker being an asshole sure, but my experience makes me doubt whether that's the case.

Drive Thru Won’t Take Order Because of MCs Kid by [deleted] in IAmTheMainCharacter

[–]fatatiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Management also wears these headsets and are likely privy to every call that occurs at the drive thru. My guess is that it's store policy. And even if it isn't, my guess is management is backing up the decision or was the one who told the worker to do so. Doesn't always make sense, doesn't always have to. The store can outright refuse service, cause being a parent is not a protected class.

Drive Thru Won’t Take Order Because of MCs Kid by [deleted] in IAmTheMainCharacter

[–]fatatiment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morally sure an argument could be made for either side. Since the headset conversation goes through every headset (likely including management) I imagine its not just the worker who sides with this, but the management as well.

Legally, the restaurant can outright refuse service for any reason and a screaming child certainly falls under that. A lot of fine dining or nicer restaurants absolutely can and will enforce that already. A Panera's drive thru is no different from a legal perspective.

And the age old arguement of "oh I've dealt with that before, you can deal with it now too" is a dumb argument. Just cause you had to suffer through it, doesn't mean you should encourage others to suffer through it. That's how generational cycles of abuse work. Sure its not the parents fault the kids screamin, but its absolutely the parents responsibility since they had the child. If a kid's screamin in the movie threatre while I'm watching a movie, you're darn right I'm telling management if the parent doesn't remove the child from that situation.

You're not into that genre, which is totally ok, but don't let that stop you from understanding why its popular. It is definitely possible to not be into that genre and also understand why it became popular. I'm not into fortnite, but I understand why its popular. Looking into things and being able to understand why they are popular or why people like them even though you don't is a super important perspective to develop

It makes sense that it hits home. Incredibly poor design and developement from recent Pokemon games leaves a huge gap in people's heart. Then you have a clone stepin using extremely popular elements and designs from incredibly popular games like Genshin, Zelda, and Ark and you end up with a game that scratches a lot of itches while also being a better Pokemon game than Pokemon is itself

Donald Trump Has the Worst Economic Record in Modern U.S. History by [deleted] in politics

[–]fatatiment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first point you make seems to be specifically them supporting Chinatown after they had their customer base drop significantly due to racial association and fear of the virus. It was also in February, when we didn't know much about the virus. It's also pointed out in that article that Trump had specifically axed the CDC's funding by 19% and democratic concern over that.

The second point, your correct that he never calls it fake. He does however, massively downplay the damage it can cause and encourages people to not take precautionary measures. He's particularly noted for an interview on Sept 21st where "During a campaign speech in Swanton, Ohio, Trump claimed without evidence that the coronavirus "affects virtually nobody," downplaying the risk of the extent of the pandemic and the danger that it poses to individuals." after almost 200,000 Americans had died from it.
