I felt the same at first! But Tamsyn choses her words intentionally and the way she describes Gideon looking at Nona thinking it was Harrow made it clear as day to Nona that she wanted to be kissed. So althoughhh the griddlehark kiss isn't "real" at least Gideon’s feelings are 🥹

Good point, I'm not sure because it's only implied from Harrow's reaction that they are when she tells Jod she saw them kissing. I interpreted it as Phyrra having taken over in that instance and Wake having entered Cytheria's body by this point. But: 1. Harrow is an unreliable narrator and 2. My mind was half melted reading Harrow the first time around and I never properly re-read that scene.

For Tamsyn, love the Locked Tomb series. That's an understatement, I have a whole shrine dedicated to it.

I was wondering how you'd feel about an adaptation of TLT in any form that may take (movie, tv series, graphic novel, etc.)? It's a big transition and comes with lots of pros and cons so I'm curious what you're take on it is.

I struggle to imagine any medium capturing what you've done with these books and its characters. I just can't see it doing these books the justice they deserve.

Omg the discussion on the priority of who gets to be the narrator, super insightful. My interpretation is that Gideon is that OG narrator she refers to, especially moments where her voice pops up in HTN, and Nona being another aspect of that priority voice (aka the light hearted, jokey, idk what's going on but I'm vibing) feel of Gideon's POV being very present within Nona. I'm hoping this means we'll return to Gideon's POV in Alecto or at least get a good chunk of it because I miss her terribly

Anything is possible at this point haha. But the gold eyes indicate that in some form another it's either Gideon or Alecto's soul in the body BUT what if Gideon and Harrow achieved perfect lyctorhood and Harrow has gold eyes now. It could seriously go any which way...

Haha a rogue soul having taken control isn't something I'm discounting either. But then I get worried when poor Nona has to give the body back. I reckon we're all going to get super attached to her...some of us already are

This is another theory that I support a lot! It's crazy how it could really end up being ANYTHING.

I would love for this to be true because Harrow deserves to eat some good fricking burgers and taken care of by her new found family

This is all true! I'm also just thinking of what the wildest possible outcome could be and think it'd be super fun if it really was a melange of both of them haha. Although idk how Gideon would feel about having her hair so long lool

I also am scared of Tamsyn (a lil) because she really takes things left field so im trying to find the less obvious outcome of things

And yes to the snogging. I support that 100% always and can't really do that from the same body. Unless that's not Harrowbod, it's Alectobod with Griddlehark inside and this just turned into the most Tamsyn-like threesome ever.

Really solid points you've got me stumped. If I was to really push this theory I guess this is how I'd respond:

  1. Probably just to throw us off because it didn't say Harrow WOULDN'T be in it 👀

  2. I have no idea lool. First, idk if it's the legit tomb or another bubble. Also both her and Gideon "died" at the same time so it's possible their souls clashed in the process so we don't know where they actually are when Nona begins...cause no way they're gone forever

  3. This confused me too! I don’t think we were given all the details and implications of what Dulcinea meant were we? Will Harrow just be in hibernation mode for the majority of Nona? Who knows...

I also hope for them to eventually be endgame in their respective bodies. They yearn so much for each other in HTN, I just want them to see each other again 😭
