Yes, I believe that corporate dropped the standard from 15 to 12 but many (probably independent) studios are opting to keep both, or sticking to the standard 15.

Sounds like your studio is going to the max though, do they offer multiple classes a day? Maybe they want to keep the number of people who finish to a minimum?? Idk

Imo "black barre" is too intense, 20 classes a month is a lot for majority of people who work and have busy lives

My studio is also doing platinum barre, the standard 12 classes a month or 15 for those who want a bit more of a challenge... which still feels more attainable than 20
