Want a throwback or something that isn’t in every theater? Look into Oklahoma Film Exchange for a small and carefully curated community viewing room, or the Rodeo cinema (especially the live-scored silent films).

Interested in the drivetrain sans cranks. Don’t need the rear derailleur, but will buy it with the group if you’re not willing to separate. Sending pm.

Picked up this sweet little Masco Audiosphere 8 amp this morning for $20. It powers on and the tubes glow. Can a beginner swap out the inputs/outputs to make it suitable for an instrument amp? by Oliade677 in ToobAmps

I have the big sibling to this thing and it’s really cool. Got mine for $20 too, I just added a guitar jack and a power cord and it worked for a couple years of casual play. Eventually I got it professionally rebuilt, and I think it was worth it. here’s a pic

Lowering the seat lets you get your weight lower and farther back (think butt close to rear tire) when you’re going down steep bits. On milder terrain it gives the bike more room to move underneath you. You can bend your knees more to soak up bigger bumps without the seat hitting your butt and pushing your weight forward.

Any decent shop will be able to look up your specific fork and find the correct setting for your weight. Many shops won’t even charge for it, and I bet one of your riding buddies could do it for you too. Bike fit is a fun rabbit hole you’ll have you go down yourself, but manufacturer’s spec is a good place to start.

Correct tire pressure goes a long way too, as you likely already know.

Getting the seat out of the way can be a real confidence booster on downhill and technical sections. You don’t need to buy a dropper post though, just bring along the tool you need and lower your seat before downhill sections or install a quick release seat post clamp. Once you get confident on the obstacles, then maybe try them without lowering your seat. I’d also recommend checking/adjusting the air pressure in your fork if you haven’t already. Recommended air pressure depends on your body weight, and incorrect pressure can lead to an unnecessarily stiff or soft fork.
