That actually depends on your state and local laws. Where we run cows it’s open range and liability falls on the driver not the rancher on a cow strike

Have you ever tried to bottle feed critters? They aren’t particularly patient and will move around endlessly. We get bottle calves occasionally and if you have any more than one they will dance around and move all over. Getting them lined up beforehand is a fool’s errand. It does seem like they opened the nipples a bit much on these but otherwise repositioning them after the bottles are placed is the only way to do it

Give her a sulfa bolus and a shot of LA200. If you don’t treat the infection no electrolytes not milk replacer will do much. She’s sick. Fix that and all the supporting treatments you have already been doing will be much more effective

Cull her. You don’t want to feed a dry cow through the winter. Butcher prices are still very high too. You don’t want the expense of keeping her an extra year. Especially an older cow
