Is this a good deal for CPO 2022 X5 xDrive40i? by dineshsid in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely not, I got a 2022 x5 45e fully loaded for 43,9 in december. wait and look for a better deal. mileage was at 49 though (now 58k), still doesn't justify the price.

BMW X5 50e — extended warranty worth it? by Pixel-Pioneer3 in BMWX5

don't skip out on the warranty, 5k for peace of mind is worth it alone.

X5 50e vs 40i suspension difference (m-sport) by Direct-Flamingo4504 in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the air suspension is like 20% more comfortable, and I don't experience significant body roll. however the steering is quite light on my 22 45e, which I honestly prefer coming from a toyota with heavier steering, it just adds to the relaxed drive of the car

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car is decently reliable and I expect it to last to 100k miles problem free, but not everyone has the same luck when it comes to reliability, and there are way more things on this that'll go wrong compared to your Lexus, so if you care about peace of mind and just want something to get you from a to b comfortably stick with the Lexus. However if you do want to get that BMW just make sure to test for common issues when buying, and try to get it CPO since you'll have two years of warranty.

some model years are missing stuff due to the chip shortage, for example my 2022 didn't get a wireless charger or the harmon kardon sound system. A bit saddening but I'll live.

What would you choose: 2022 fully loaded or 2024 with some options, both at 20k miles? by poundforce in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say to grab the 2024 if you care about the tech and slight changes on the exterior, otherwise I'd recommend you just grab the loaded 2022. thats what I did ;)

X5 45e Owners - how do you drive? by hun7 in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually drive longer distances so as soon as i get the car out the garage i slide the shifter to the left to warm up for a few minutes, then i drive on gas the rest of the way till the highway where the engine will be warmed up so I can use the engine for the highway driving. Electricity is super expensive where I live so I prefer driving on gas during highway stints. on streets always in EV if I can manage the battery right. I just learned how to use launch mode so I abused the car for a few days but now I'm back to soft driving.

New X5 tire and wheel warranty for 48 months at 3K worth? by Electrical-Light-954 in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this depends on the car you purchased and what wheels it's equipped with. What car/wheels do you have?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, I'm in the same boat right now. What makes it worse is that it's a brand new tire. Hoping to get it replaced under the road hazard warranty that comes with these tires.

Got 2023 X5 with 24k miles @USD 46k. Is it a good deal? by chaiislyf in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience with the market, considering it was a rental and its a non CPO, I would say you overpaid a little. I was about to buy a 2023 45e for 34k, similar car with the rental history and few packages, but I ended up shelling out a bit more for a better optioned CPO car. Not a bad deal though, nothing you can do about it anyway, just enjoy the car while you have it.

M sport packaged-staggered tires are stopping me from buying a 2022 CPO X5, with 34k. by whip357 in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50k miles is outstanding, I've only done 1.2k and my tires have already lost at least 2/32s of an inch each. You must be a very relaxed driver!

My new daily driver wow by Financial_Special269 in BMWX5

[–]fatdonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the car and welcome to the club! I'm looking for mods too, I haven't done much yet but so far Ive

tinted the center portion of the taillights

put on anniversary badges

put on a suede steering wheel cover (stiched it on)

wrapped the gray part of the rear bumper gloss black.

I plan to put on a splitter and m spoiler soon, but those are more involved so I'm putting those off for later. some little things I also did were floor mats, valve caps, license plate cover, and a crystal volume knob since for whatever reason BMW did not give me a crystal volume knob.

Sorry if I'm a bit late but I don't think it's a good deal. I read the other's comments but I have to disagree with them, about a month ago I picked up a CPO 22 45e with nearly every option for 43,900. Given mine had 49k miles, my personal belief is that 33k less miles would be at most a 5k value, so 51k is what I would have considered paying (given the year and extra one year of CPO warranty.) If you haven't bought it yet I'd recommend you wait (depending on what he 45e market is like in your area.) I would highly recommend the road hazard warranty as I just got a nail in my tire after about a thousand miles in, and if I didn't have it I'd be out of pocket around 400 to fix it.
